DIY very cheap day camper/ jetski / motorbike van
Discussion
broken down again, this time found several breaks in different parts of the wiring loom. lots of weak spots and black corrosion, stripped it back as far as i I can, soaked the corroded bits in salt and vinegar, then neatralised in diluted baking soda, soldered, crimped and heatshrunk the joints. running well again. Getting a code for egr flow from the blanked off egr so time to fire up winols.
putting 4" coaxials in the dash where the standard tweeters go powered off the front channel, 6.5 coaxaes in the doors powered off ch 1 and 2 of a pioneer gm-d8604, hpf set to 80hz, 10" sub under the passenger seat fed off ch 3 and 4 lpf set to 50, then a fli 1000w 2 channel amp on a seperate power switches driving the xlr sockets at the back door where I can plug in some bose 802s for field raves.
all the car audio stuff was strippes out my old peugeot, the 802s were stripped out from a pub sound sytem refit I was doing last year.
after endless harrassment from my daughter we are camping in the roof tent tonight. hope, this eberspecher doesnt pick up ste from the diesel tank, brought some spare filters.

I've done the same and fitted coaxials to the dash and doors. Front channel sounds good but the door speakers need more oomph tbh. Good luck with the diesel heater.all the car audio stuff was strippes out my old peugeot, the 802s were stripped out from a pub sound sytem refit I was doing last year.

my last trafic I fitted LOADS of silentcoat in the doors, 8" midbass in the doors mounted on heavy duty mdf rings, 4" mids in the dash, and tweeters drilled into the front of the dash pointed at the driver, and 2x sony 12" subs driven fully active by a jbl ms8 processor, sounded incredible.
ms8 is up for sale, only for the reason that i take dozens of handsfree calls every day thhrough the stereos bluetooth, and to avoid echo every time you want to make a handsfree call you need to press the bypass button, which I found irratating.

Glad it worked!
I know it will is not "very cheap" - but I highly recommend Thermarest roll mats -they seem to even out fairly rough tent floors, but I am not sure if they will cover your bumps.
Awesome build, congrats!

Apparently these fit the AFT fine (correct width etc, leaving 1.5cm all around)

Rang up the scrapyard and think the deflectors have gone already
