They dont list any prices anywhere.
I'm guessing that means expensive?

Purchased mine through these guys; https://leisurelines.net/

Depends on what you class as expensive I guess. I got vehicle specific ones with fitting kits, paid about £250 for the pair.

I spotted that, £90 + vat and shipping, tempting to save time, but kind of out of kilter with the rest of the project and I am trying to keep total spend under £2k.

Resealing the scuttle and chopping out and replacing a lot of the french wiring and replacing it with better quality stuff, doing a 2012 facelift and the holographic blue chrome the whole van is going to be.
First proper chance I have had to play on the van, work has been mental since lockdown.

the cheap chinese chrome effect vinyl wrap is ste compared to the 3m stuff, doesn't follow contours as well, but 3m costs an arm and a leg so I did a viper stripe down the middle to break it into managable sections.

What an awesome project OldGermanHeaps.

You've done a great job of taking an unloved old girl with relatively low miles and turned it to a more than capable family camper. Kudos man.

Not sure if I missed your plan for the bikes/quad? Having grown up as a school boy racer, if I was to pursue this with my kids, the box trailer would be my choice. Keep all the bikes, kit, tools and all the st contained in one box. You'll need to decorate the trailer with fairies or unicorns to avoid the s following you home but it would be more convenient to separate the 2.

Best regards, a fellow oldskool raver musically stuck in the 90's

I have a bike rack that bolts on the towbar, because its a kids 50cc motocrosser it fits on that, and because its a kids quad it fits in the side door easily. When we are away doing bikey things the mrs will be driving the camper and I will be on my WR.
I keep the toys at work and we have 24 hour on site manned security and a heavy duty security system (I run a security company, so went OTT with it)
The wee electric quad has been a godsend, because my mrs has had to do a lot more hours the girls have been coming to work a lot, the oldest likes to help at work, the youngest just likes to rip about on the quad. Or try to get to sit in plant, she is absolutely plant daft, anything big and diesel with hydraulics and she is desperate to be sitting in it, Cant wait to take them to diggerland, they will love it.
Nice to hear from a fellow cheesy quaver, still mourning the loss of the ingliston rave, the rezerection at Newcastle and a few Mallorca Lee nights, this year is pure ste I would gladly take a dose of the coronacowie to get a night out reaching for the lasers, just put me in a shipping container for a coupme of weeks after so I dont pass it on, it'll be worth it.

I was asking about choppy smash and MOT, then went and read https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-registration/radically-...
gov said:
Get a ‘Q’ registration number
You will not be able to keep your vehicle’s original registration number if ...
there’s evidence that 2 vehicles have been welded together to form one (ie ‘cut and shut’)
I think they're talking about a decptive vertical cut and this is much cooler horizontal one, but... do you expect to have tedious paperwork to do after this?

May have to settle for "van with windows" rather than campervan as the DVLA are being right pricks about giving out campervan classifications.

As someone who often looks at the price of two things, and thinks "How bad can this cheaper item be?" - this is very useful information, thank you!

Random - the same applies for paint - never stand in B&Q and think "This paint looks just the same as the next one, just cheaper, how bad can it be?"
