Holiday plans for 2020?
Discussion
Plans so far for 2020 are
May half term, week in Charmouth, Dorset.
Summer booked to go to France. Mt Saint Michel for five days and just over a week near St Jeans de Monts, Vendee.
A bit predictable as we have been to all these places before, but we enjoy the areas. Taking the bikes on the van this year so it will add a different dimension, now the kids are reasonably able to cycle on the roads.

Just back from 6 weeks in Spain. Only 1 day of rain and it touched 26 degrees one day in Feb
Annoyingly though we were planning on going down to Sicily in April/May for a 6 week trip but have potentially postponed this now due to the virus. We'll see how the next few weeks pan out but if anywhere it may be Bavaria for a month instead
If Sicily is postponed we'll go in Sept instead.
So far, only a trip to Cardiff, Cheltenham and Cirencester planned for the end of the month.

Easter weekend at Kelling Heath in Norfolk
Augustr Bank Holiday weekend Norfolk Broads
Spetember - i think - nr Stonehenge for FIL family reunion do.

Spent this morning giving the motorhome its post winter layover wash. I always end up getting completely filthy and wet doing this but it's oddly satisfying.
I'm off this weekend to a campsite in Wallingford (assuming the site isn't under water - Wallingford is on the Thames) on my first "test run" of the season. I'm looking forward to spending a few nights in my little home on wheels.

It's the not knowing really. You can't plan too far ahead as we don't know how this pesky thing will pan out.
We have a shorter trip to Cardiff, Cheltenham and Cirencester planned for the end of the month but that now looks off as Mrs O is in the high risk group with her MS; reduced immunity; and asthma!
Still could be worse I 'spose...

Supposed to be going away for a week at Easter, no idea if we're allowed to go or not, the mandate was to cut out non essential travel which I'd think you'd argue that is. Part of the reason we're a way to Dorset is that it's a relative's wedding at the end of the week. Not sure what will happen their?

I've made mention of sticking the caravan on the driveway and having a holiday in that, or using it as a quarantined area.
We have bookings to go to the Lake District at Easter and Cornwall in summer and bought a new (to us) caravan a few weeks ago which is sat on the drive. I don't know if the hoildays will be possible but I've left if there rather than take to storage for the same reason, if one of us is ill it can be our quarantine zone.
If you go somewhere pretty quiet and isolated and if you use your on-board facilities, then what's to stop you going? I cant imagine it will be too busy at the mo. If you like walking just keep away from other walkers...
I guess the issue comes if you fancy a pub after a nice walk
In fact, provided we stay clear of the virus I can see us popping off for a couple of days here and there in the MH: staying at rural sites (or even CL's or CS's) just to get a change of scenery and a bit of fresh air. We can use the on boards for 2 days and take a couple of meals with us (and some beer).
Could be just the job as long as we keep away from other folks

All Caravan club sites are closed, even the CL affiliated sites. Most sites are closing and cancelling bookings.I guess the issue comes if you fancy a pub after a nice walk
