Having read that his younger brother? took over the writing halfway through I thought it was really noticeable, the writing seemed to get lazier as the book went on.

Lee Childs I like, his younger brother, nope.

I predict that you'll enjoy the first 25% biggrin

I've got quite into the Elvis Cole series by Robert Crais as an alternative, pretty enjoyable and as they're old, cheap as chips on Kindl.

That also goes for the Joe Pickett series by CJ Box, also quite enjoyable.

I would add Harlan Coben and his Myron Bolitar books to this list as well.

All of the above are some of my favourite reads.

As for enjoying the first 25%, will try and stretch it to 50%. biggrin

Looking forward to your verdict, I think about 75% of it won't be very favorable laugh

Spot on. Forced myself to finish it anyway; I've read all the Reacher books and this is really poor.

I’m out of reading at the moment and actually picked this up in Tescos yesterday and considered buying it. I didn’t finish Blue Moon after it became totally ridiculous about half way through, so I though I’d save £10 on this and I put it back.

Better than Blue Moon but Blue Moon was bloody awful so that's not saying much.

Coben is also a better writer than Lee Child. Although, that isn't saying much hehe

Much better, and he adds humour to his books, doesn't take himself or his characters too seriously which I like. Very similar to Robert Crais.

You may like it more than me. I remember it starting ok but then descending into ridiculousness as Reacher mows down half of eastern europes generic baddies.

I am not a fan of the latest book. stretched out I felt. And I did not get the analysis of the fight scenes. Reacher thinks this and Reacher thinks that. Reacher does not think. Reacher just knows and acts.
