John Connorly's private detective Charlie Parker and his side kicks Louis and Angel are, in my opinion the best fictional detective books by a country mile, just ordered the last two on my kindle and am reading them now, if youve never read them your missing a gem, they are sort of like Harry Bosch being written by Stephen King, lots of back story, conventional mystery with a hint of supernatural, i just love them, my favorite of the series, Dark Hollow i dont think he will ever top that.
Anyone else read them, Anyone out there dislike them, whats your favourite book, anyone else chuffed that Rachel no longer appears in them.
Comments please.

I'm a big fan of them. Not sure if I have a favourite particularly as they're all good in their own way. I've just read the latest one and it's superb. I really like the way little bits of the story about his past and the supernatural stuff which affects him keep trickling out.

They sound good, I have just started the Harry Bosch novels because of the recommendation in the jack reacher thread, good so far and I have 10 to read. Bought a box set on eBay.

My favourite Detective books are by Robert Crais, his Elvis Cole and Joe Pike novels are very good.

I will check out these once I have finished the Harry Bosch series.

Think I've been through all of them, except the latest two.

Also done most of the Harry Bosch and Myron Bolitar series.

Just started in on Jack Reacher in the last few weeks. He's a bit like a grumpy littlest hobo isn't he?

Oh, he's a top fella. Very engaging, loads of Irish charm, great at the meet and greet.

Worth anything? Not sure, just nice things to have really.
