I see there’s an old thread on here about this excellent book.

It is very rare but I see there is a copy currently for sale on the well known auction site - time to treat yourself for Christmas? - not sure if the price is right but there are some easily googled pages suggesting it’s value is $450

Certainly on my Santa list!

Wow! Time to sell mine and pay off my mortgage!! I'd love to know what Russell would have made of this 'inflation'!

Was a bit disheartened to see figures mentioned here for the Bulgin book. Had it years ago and sold it due to circumstances at time. Wanted another.

Without much hope, saved searches on normal suspects sites and within a month had bagged a copy for £37. In fairness had been misdescribed as softback so took a chance. Reading now. Superb.

So there you have it. They are about and not at crazy money.

Holy thread resurrection Batman.

Just for the record a copy has just sold in open bidding on the usual auction site. Annoyed I missed out but it finished at £162. Still a mad price, but not the £300 the buy-it-now listings are.

I keep saying to the wife, if anything happens to me do not send all those old books in the office down to the charity shop!

£162 isn’t bad, some of my Porsche books are worth many times that-and sell for the asking too.

To be honest, I’ll probably just pay up and buy a copy one day. I wanted it at the time it came out but my OH said she’d get it me for Christmas...then left it to late! If I ever buy one, I won’t mention the price to her.

It would be nice if they could do a short reprint of this as I am sure they would sell.

It has been on my list for years.
