In Jan i ordered a book via a well known high street chain... lets call them Liquidrocks

It was on the website but noted as out of stock.. No worries they can get it via the publisher ,and i can used their gift card and loyalty card ( regular users etc) to pay for it

Then the bug struck

I did contact the customer services by email and had the most horrendous and i couldn't givre a flying F8ck answer when i was told to chase it up myself with the publisher i oave up and politely told the guy i thought that was his job not mine. ( i did ASK the publisher out of interest and he told me he has a crateful and is waiting for Liquidrock to contact him 'Quel surpreeze' as DelBoy would say
Popped into the local shop when it reopened and was promised action
Month later nothing
Got back onto the HO and started a complaint. Again promised action as they did not have an agreement with the publisher and yet another month passed by
Gave them a jab and today got an answer in reply to my suggestion that is there any reason why they could not do a one off purchase ,perhaps via petty cash and then get the book to my shop and i an then use the gift card
Guess what computer says no. What a two bob pisspoor outfit they are. They have no concept of going that extrsa mile to aid a custoner and as a just to realy rub it in said i can extend to validity of my gift card. Why??? FFS

I am now left with a totally useless 25.00 gift card that i cannot use elsewhere along with the loyalty card that has about 25.00 on that
I think i may put them on ebay for the price of the book i want and in future get all my books via amazon
I know i am only one pi55ed off customer but i thought that they might have made an effort

Brewery and party does spring to mind

Rant over.... feel better now
