I race a copper S (just sprints and hills) and when the front pads cam off they were in bits
It now has 6 pots and a lot better pads.

I think you are being had by the dealer.

Take it to an independant and have a look for yourself.

definately get the pads re checked by a non scammer
pads are easy to do but if your using a jack i would use an axle stand as well because it isnt much fun when the car dropps on top of you

I’ve had my mini one for two years 2017 plate, I changed the front break pads last year due to the warning light etc. However just going onto the motor way last week, a warning light lit up, saying break pads need changing drive moderately.... I’ve been to mini and they have said the front break pads and back need changing. How can this be... I’ve only done 17,000 miles in the car and drive daily on the motor way, I’ve been driving for 29 years.... my previous cars of different makes have previously needed pads changing every 5-6 years... ?? does this sound like a fault is it usual to change pads yearly on a mini??
