You know, I saw a great article in EVO regarding VEMAC some time ago. Does anyone know what they are up to? The car looks very promising, but the website hasn''t been updated for ages!

I thought that they have a rather interesting idea here to use it as a pickup truck as the Americans are so into SUVs I went to the website and was pleasantly surprised with the front view, a lot of good classic styling cues but sorry, the side and all rear aspects are diabolical. They seem to have taken bits from Ferrari and Lotus but then just cut and pasted them together with no continuity. The cabin is too far forward and that cutoff between the cabin and rear.... I know that it is difficult to come up with a total design for a car (I am considering that very idea myself as the next major step with Zertec) but this one just doesn't flow. Jeezus. It looks like the bastard offspring of a Honda CRX and a stingray corvette. I've seen better lines at Tescos.

Zertec, have you seen the Tommikira coupe in Gran Turismo 3 ? I know it's looks like a ferrari 360 (front) and Mclaren F1 (profile and rear) but it works (don't think they have built it tho') - I've often despaired when seeing some of the cars produced by small manufacturers, they nearly all get it slightly wrong (FBS=very!) and if they got it right they would see huge benefits in sales I'm sure (Noble M12 springs to mind) - Even the TVR Griffith is let down by its back end, racing tuscan/exige stylee back end would have been better. I'd love to see any ideas you have Clive - rebodied griffith/chimp?!?

Went to the Vemac website. The picture has changed, but nothing else! Car does look striking in dark blue, though.

I don't have GT3 so I don't know the car. As the first step towards a full Zertec car we will rebody a Tuscan race car. It will be interesting. Clive Reed Zertec Limited info@zertec.co.uk www.zertec.co.uk

Maybe the reason Vemac has done nothing is the same reason that Strathcorn went in the crapper?

The car looks great, the engine is right.

Probably a better drive than the Elise.

Alas, I haven't seen anything about VEMAC since the initial article in EVO eons ago...

Hey Petrolted, how about doing a test of the Vemac?

The cars on their website look spiffy if a bit derivative!
