Wouldnt buy a private plate myself but each to their own. I don't think its sad; I'd rather someone spent their hard-earned cash on a reg plate than an annoyingly loud stereo.

As someone else pointed out, its worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.

So why ask us then if you already know that?

Ah yes we`re cheaper than the classifieds!

wonder how many other car forums have the same thread?

If you want to know what it`s worth, stick it in the classifieds for "best offer"

So, back on topic....

OK matt, I think the plate looks good as you've presented it but i dont think it could be used for long without a 'tug'. Correctly spaced and numbered etc it wouldnt look much. However i'm sure some muppet would have a go with it and seeing what various folk have paid of late for plates that they have been stopped from using i would've thought £400-£500.
So bung it on Ebay for a grand. A buyer will think along these lines.
Hes asking £1000 Therefore he's hoping for £800. so he'll be satisfied with£600. Which means its probably worth £400. SO offer him £200
Best of luck, D.

You would be wrong with that assumption, this is the only place I have posted it.

And I asked you because I wanted to. Is that a problem?

If thats the case, not at all.

I look forward to many nights of interesting and stimulating conversation as you are obviously not someone who joined PH in order to post up a thinly veiled advert. Got any thoughts on Watches?
