Good one though, I wonder what BMW have in todays paper? Self cleaning paint anyone?

Self-activating indicators??

Or a 'hilarious' 7-speed gearbox with 11 settings..?

Have a look at the home page of their website. You will see this years little April Fool.

It's now the second of April so my post is not a wind up (anyone spot the Lotus pickup??)...but a few years ago my mate bought an old Rover SD1 2.3 or 2.6 or whatever it was and thought it was really crap until he realised that the old boy who had owned it previously had indeed screwed a lump of wood under the loud pedal, and when challenged said it "helped with fuel economy"

From that point on I though the car was just crap rather than really crap.

Yep, didn't realise it was April 1st. Duh, it's early.

Trouble is with this country and the nanny state the way it is, these things are not funny any more.
And there I was thinking that you were being ironic!

Missed opportunity! A better April Fools joke would be that the British police believe an automatic 318i could "run away" and be impossible to stop, even impossible to put into neutral because the throttle was stuck open. Oh, wait, they did!

Did anyone see the RFU one?

Rugby ball;s with 8 fibre optic cameras in, beaming images straight to a pair of glasses worn by the Ref.

Or the programme "Sex, lies and Michael Aspel" suggesting Mel B is Aspel's secret love child? It was absolutely hilarious and totally believable - and then the programme started....

(But a big to the production company for keeping up the traditions of April 1st)
