Richard Austin does indeed have that plate, used to be on his M5 before he transfered it onto a 3 series coupe for the lady wife..

Only car I know he has at the moment is 40RA, on a Ferrari 360..

When the recovery company was locally owned, we would waste a bit of dosh on plates. I had B16 RTA on my Scania accident unit, but the best was N16 NOG which I wanted to buy for one of our (coloured) managers. manager was up for it, but MD said no.

Here in NZ, for about 160 UK pounds you can have what you want , any combination of 6 numbers and or letters and spacing (within the space constraints of the plate of course) ...... The E-Type is getting something like BRG XKE when it's finished (yes, it is BRG) and the TR7 is going to be crowned with a plate when it's done.... either TVR7 (as it's going to be TVR-powered) or QIK WEJ because it WILL be a quick wedge when it's all finished

Gosh, that's rather a coincidence, I was thinking exactly the same thing all the way through this thread wondering if anyone was going to mention Pimlico Plumbers who seem to have some great number plates on their vans........
Can't actually remember any though

Posted this on another thread about plates but in case you missed it, I have B10 WPW on my 924.

Reads BLOW PW, hence my handle (PW are my initials).
Give me a wave if you see me around Brum.
