The Corvette and Cerbera look like they could slip under that barrier on the barge.

I was driving with my Corvette C4, and in the morning not long after the start I got some problems with the coolingfan. so i lost everyone and navigated with tomtom to the 'tante loes' restaurant. I was the first to arive ofcourse because i took the highway. and after lunch I was driving behind the BMW group and the orange ford focus behind me. The problems with the fan was causing the enigine to become very hot, so i had to stop a few times to give it a swing so it would blow again. when we were driving in some hill's very slowly my automatic transmission became very hot. so hot that i had to stop just before the bridge to Doesburg. An other Corvette stoped to see if he could help, but the only thing I could do is wait till it was cooled down. I decided to turn around and go back home. too bad I didn't make the finnish. tough all my problems, I had a great day.

greetings

Bad to hear Tommy, I thought you was letting us come by and follow afterwards.

It was indeed very crowdy on the Posbank. The TVR Tuscan also needed a break on top cause of the slow driving.

I will post my pictures in here after I've uploaded them...

It was actually more us than the car who needed the break! The engine coped incredibly well with the heat - in fact it coped much better than me, as I saw my skin turn a brighter shade of 'lobster'. wink

Still I did not want to tempt fate by juddering up and down hills in first gear all the time, so we decided to have a break and take in the views. After about 20 minutes the road was clear and we had a great journey all the way to the ferry where we caught up with the group.

We also had a bit of a tailback when Eric had problems with his throttle cable, but that was quickly fixed after a number of other spring runners who had brought along tool boxes came out to help. Some people thought that it was history repeating itself when they heard about throttle cable issues on a red TVR!

Tommy - sorry to hear that you had so many problems, I saw you parked in a lay-by from my rear view mirror as I initially only noticed the yellow Corvette parked behind you. I hope you will be able to get it all fixed soon.

Many thanks to Albert and Wim for organising a fantastic weekend. The spring run's route was beautiful and the little detour on Saturday night through Rotterdam's tunnels was a hoot (especially when driving between a Corvette C6 and a Diablo biggrin). Most of all though I enjoyed meeting everybody. The atmosphere was great and we had lots of fun. I hope to see you all again sometime on either side of the pond!

It really was a great weekend, so a huge thank you to Albert & Wim for organising it!
Great people, great car, great weather, couldn't have been better! beer

I've made a few pics with my cell phone, so not the greatest quality, but still ok.

GTRene's new girlfriend...wink

Mark Nauta @ warpspeed. Or Peter hanging half way out of the car and Jenna deciding that is a good moment to floor it, it definately was one of those two options.biggrin

We have loads of time . . . Spa6-topic took over 3 months before all snaps were posted biggrin

See you all there this autumn guys?

Speaking of Spa: 17/18th May BossCerb will race the mighty Thunderroad Cobra at Spa. Go see. Little chance I'm there but trust me it's impressive stuff.

Just got home. Traffic was a bit of a nightmare as we entered Belgium - motorway stop go so took to the side roads for a while.

Had a great weekend. Thanks for organising and for everyone that turned out and made us Brits feel very welcome.

I have just got home after driving 450 miles today. Thanks to Dink and all the Dutch guys for making us welcome and sharing our humour. It has been a wonderful weekend with lots of laughing and I feel I have made new friends. I knew someone would post the camel photos.

Hmmm..... Not much to add to that! Anne and I had a fantastic time (maybe less diesel next time thoughwink) Thanks to Albert and Wim for all the organising and thanks to all the other Dutchies for turning up on the run and making the hotel dinner an experience to remember. My special thanks goes of course to all those who repeatedly turned up in ordinary cars just to spare my blushes. You know who you are and you are my heroes biggrin

The museum(s) were lovely and the cars just fantastic to see. I'll check what photos came out ok and post them later on. However I'm not sure anything I find will be able to beat this little beauty from Clacket Lane Services on the way home todaywink

Speaking of which...

That looks like a cracking run!

Being the younger, less affluent type (!) I always like to see it when there are affordable, yet still interesting and fun cars tagging along with the expensive metal.

Thanks for sharing!
