I used to work with a guy who was obsessed with these things.

Turns out he was good mates with Garry Glitter.

Really? I could swear they were RWD.

If not, they've definitely been struck off my 'cars I wouldn't mind owning as long as no one saw me in it' list.

love it!

but the floor mat on the drivers side and the velour of the door trim are very worn for such a low mileage car...

The door trim looks like it was wet at one time or another and the cardboard behind it got wavy when it dried. And why is the driver's seat covered up? scratchchin

My dad had a diesel bluebird as a taxi when i was a kid - god that thing was slow.

Although, when he was pissed, he used to let me drive it around 'for the experience' . I think i was about 17 at that point.

I doubt it is even that, it is probably just down to age. If the car seat has a cover on you can bet it is not because there is an immacualte seat underneath it!

That is a very cool car, I love it! But then I do love 80's cars, this one is proper retro. Somewhat of a bargain as well I think at that price if the description is correct. Thats on the verge of appreciating, most of them have rusted away.

1.8 litres AND a turbo to produce 135bhp. How times change eh?

The only car I've ever (unintentionally!) spun on a public road was a white '87 BB ZXT. I was about 19 and had borrowed it for the weekend off the forecourt of the now-defunct Nissan dealership where I worked. All I remember is being in front of a red Sierra XR4x4, entering a bend too quick, coming off the gas and around it went! God knows how I didn't hit anything but once Mr Sierra had checked we (me and my brother) were okay, I put it in gear and drove back the way we'd just come...only this time a little more slowly!

Pretty bulletproof old things really, and they were quite cheap compared to Sierras and Cavaliers of the time. Did quite well selling black diesels, funnily enough... scratchchin

I'd be tempted if I was in the market for a car, it's definately a bit of a Q car.

But the engine was originally slated to have more power, but they (apparently) pegged it back to 135bhp to reduce stress - the engine should go on for a loooong time.

I'd love one, its light, got a reasonable engine that can take a fair amount of abuse (and tuning).

So did mine! Burlish Middle School in Stourport, circa '89, and it was just like this one.

I've always liked the 'wolf in sheep's clothing' aspect of these. Would be great fun burning chavs off at the lights, though I suspect getting it round a corner may be a chore!

Is it the same engine as the S13 200SX? They only had 162bhp from 1809cc as standard.

That's cool, looks like a laugh for the dosh. There's been some really interesting sheds in recent weeks, it makes a change from the usual bargain barges.

They were a CA18T not the DET of the S13 200sx. I'd have that if the wife would let me but I'm odd and I love old Datsuns/Nissans. Still miss my S12 Silvia.

Deffo FWD, the model previous to these was RWD, but didn't have a ZX version. Sorry.
