How do you make the pictures bigger?
You need to sign up to flickr, It's free so don't worry, then when your logged in click on the all sizes tab at the top of the picture you want to see to make it bigger, It will be fully readable then!. :-)
You don't even need to sign up; just click on 'slide show' in the top right-hand corner, and you can read the articles in all their glory wink.

thumbup Back in the days where you could point and say Ford, Vauxhall, Rover etc. Not "Ermmm...It was a BMW, I think"?

Interesting one: The "Rover SD1 2400 SD TD Road Test 1982". I only ever saw ONE and that was dark green.
Never did take off, but then again around that time the only Diesel things were... The Postvan, Peugeot 505 estates and rust buckets that fishermen seemed to drive scratchchinwink

This is fantastic! Thank you very much!

I love the way they did reviews back then - so much more professional and technical as opposed to a lot of fruity words but almost no solid information in modern magazines.

You have a review of my first car - a Talbot Horizon! Thank you, Sir, I'm off to do a bit of reading clap

Edit: Wow, it's even more woeful than I remembered. The review is of the diesel but I had the 1.3 litre petrol which had similar performance - 0-90 mph in 50 seconds! My current 911 does 0-90 in about 9 seconds. hehe.

Great stuff, many thanks.

I Don't know TBH, I've tried on my crappy Samsung F480 and you can see them but not that clear, Though the Iphone is a much better phone for the internet.

Just reading the Merc 2.5 Cosworth test. Its amazing people paid this much for cars back then.

E34 535i £24,235
Audi Quattro £30,199!

That was serious money in 1989 pounds.

That brings back memories.

I've still got a lot of those magazines in a cuboard - I think the oldest is from 1978.

Thanks! *Blushes* Don't think they would do that though as i think autocar & What Car? both belong to the same company that own Pistonheads (Haymarket) and they might get funny over the copywrite.

Got loads of What car? Magazines to go though now, Might start again on Monday.
