...still a shockingly fresh track, heard it in a film recently, can't remeber what one though.

What about bands you thought were one hit wonders, you buy the "best of blah did blah" for one track ('cos it's cheap) and find you know half of the tracks, and the rest are ace!

May I forward

Reef: "Together, the best of... REEF"

as one of the best driving albums I have come across lately.

"Give me your love" and "Naked*" have conributed to a very high milage on the repeat button and the draining of Cambridgeshire Optimax reserves this week .

Oh!

*****

*this was the track from original Sony Minidisc ad' before anyone else says it.

Musical youth - pass the dutchy

Excuse my ignorence but what is a "dutchy"? Missy Elliott has a song out called "Pass the Dutch"

Is it the same thing? and what is it?

The song was originally titled 'Pass The Kouchie' which referred to passing a joint to the left when you have finished with it. To appease the evil government in both the US and the UK the title of the song and the lyrics were changed to 'Pass The Dutchie' which literally means Pass The Cooking Pot.

Odd, but there you go

Feelgood music floats my boat - therefore, it's got to be (sad old git ) Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves

There I said it... I admit to liking (some)MOTR stuff....No going back now....the cutting edge of witty garage/trance afficionado's wits will be slicing my middle-lane rambling into little quivering, slightly embarrassed pieces

That track came out via a number of different artists. It was originally played out by Vasquez as short dick man but not by 20 fingers.

I must get out more...

The Musical Youth song's a cover of the 1968 Mighty Diamonds "Pass the Kouchie." And yes, it is about pot. I wonder if any of the Blue Peter team picked up on that
