I bought a puma from the preston one years ago and put it this way, I will never buy a car from the place again. One salesman was fine but only a young guy, then his boss came along, rude, pushy and arrogant only just begin to descibe the cretin, alas I had already put the deposit down and pumas were quite scarce at the time. Infact it has been over ten years since and I am still to this day mad at myself for buying the car off that ringpiece of a salesman.

bought a new car from our local eh
very reluctant to give the price advertised - had to take-in copy of their own ad
had to point-out the missing spare wheel
took it back for a minor paint rectification - they had the car for a day but forgot what it was in for, then gave me someone else's keys
the only consolations are that the car is now fine and that the px they were too lazy to look at was anything but biggrin

They have 200 + Dealerships so I suspect there will be a wide variety of experiences.

Just go in for yourself. Speak to a salesmen and see who you get on with.

Sorted.

Bought my previous car from them (Focus ST) purchasing, servicing etc. was top notch, but it was a major pain taking the car back for warranty issues.

I saw a used car which interested me on their website, & went into my local branch to ask where the car was, so I could go & see it. The salesman told me it was 'in a holding compound', but he could procure it for me to test drive. You feel almost morally obliged to then buy the car as a reward for the salesman's 'efforts'; also, the car was clearly pictured on a branch forecourt, & not in a compound.
Also, I don't like the way the sales people approach you as soon as you put a foot in their territory. They assume you are there with the specific purpose of parting with wads of cash...call me sad, but I just like looking at cars...

I bought a pic from our local EH, car was advertised cheaper than it should have been by about 800 quid. Told the salesman I was paying cash and PX-ing an old AX against it.
Had to wait 5 more days that they stated to pick it up as they had not serviced it/fitted cd player/took dent out of wing.
When I went to pick it up the AX broke down 500 yards away from the forecourt. I pushed it into a space, emptied the boot and gave the salesman the keys, he never even bothered to check it which was a bonus for me.

Worked for them for two years. Pendle is great compared to their sales process. There has to be a car the same at a place you are treated like a human not a walking cashcard.

Ive had 6 cars from various locations in the uk..all used roughly 4 years old max
.ex mobility cars usually..firstly i dont work for them .or receive money either..here are my impressions..1. Lowish px prices..no glasses , parkers or trade books used..only wbac..for comparrasion..2.low mileage ,1 or 2 owners, fsh ready to put on tbeir lot asap wanted..high mileage or battered cars with one key..2 weeks mot lol need not apply.. Auction fodder..3. Cars for sale not in the best condition say under £4 k..flat batteries..not valeted..think of it as a larger auction house paying just a little more than private prices..dealer prices matched..no haggling attitude when buying..thats the price ..take it or leave it...pushy on aftersales of gap..paintguard ..etc etc..ive bougjt from them as the whole deal can be done in 1 day..finance etc & drive it away..just make sure the car is in stock been pdid..& serviced & been through the workshop..i like them hence why ive bought from them..min 6 monthes mot..but im now looking to sell them my old car on sat ..so fingers crossed they keep to their online valuation..il let u know how i get on..one instance 2 years ago..sold a zaffy sri cdti tourer..asked if it had bluetooth & hands free calling on the test drive....yes it did...er no it didnt ...so rang back up & asked for the manager..10 mins later i was asked if id want a hands free kit installed at home or work whichever i preffered..at no cost to me..done within 48 hrs..good service...kept the wife happy..wouldent hesitate to use again..
