I've started a thread in the 'Yorkshire' forum to see if I can get a group together.

Mmmmmm, love through the Peak District.

Assuming I can't be arsed going to Goodwood for the whole weekend (a fair assumption), and that the car's still on the road (slightly more tentative), I should be up for playing out.

I'm a sado with no life on weekends so I MAY be able to make it..with my Porsche 911(993) Turbo-but it would mean I'd have to wash it!

Are there places to stay there? Cheapish? Is it safe to park around there?

I could send my son round in his orange Morris Marina with black painted bumpers.

Also his mate has a Reliant Robin with a real cool speed stripe.

My mate has an old Cessna that could do a roof top fly by and even a touch and go on the main street if the wires are not too close.

Nice to get into the spirit of every day folk and their lives.

Thanks all. It's a lovely part of the world. Parking is very safe. Your prides and joys will be safe and sound.
Could those who are coming please e mail me through my profile? i'll send directions and contact numbers and details of local hotels if required. (Please specify if you need this).

The parade from Holloway through to Lea leaves around lunchtime and follows a band (half a dozen carnival floats etc)
Parking is on a lovely green grass area by the main ring. We've got sheep dogs herding ducks, Tug O war competitions, coconut shy and all sorts of stuff. Typical village fair really. Great pub over the road, and all in the middle of the Peak District (Find Crich on the map and you're basically there.

So far I've got a possible dozen made up of TVRs, (Including maybe a SEAC!) Porsches, maybe a Lotus or two, possibly a Ferrari etc.
It's not Le mans, but it's a nice day out.

Cheers again to all

Andy
