Exactly, I mean, an early 90s Escort? What were they thinking?

Edited to add: Good luck in finding it and getting the guilty punished.

That is quite scary. Really that easy by using a car tow-vehicle? I was expecting a couple of scroats with a brick and screwdriver.

I suppose noone would think twice to a towtruck with a car on the back compared to some youths driving like nutters.

Frightening stuff.

Good luck in your recovery smile

There are a lot of 'Mongs' living in Southall.

Cant be too hard to find a transit based recovery truck?
What did the BiB tell you?

Terrible news. frown

I'm sure I've seen that exact RS Turbo driving around the area (particularly the A4) over the last few months. Looked in great condition too.

I'll keep my eyes peeled as I work not far from Southall.

Hang on, has the car been found?

If so, would you mind telling me where? There's a bunch of car thieves around Heston who tried to steal a friends P1.

or life like an owl and sleep odd hours and waste your life away by doing stty things and where no one likes you or knows you

begs the question doesn't it?

That's a pretty bloody distinctive towtruck. How crap are the BIB if they can't even be arsed to chase down the (likely) couple of dozen transits of that age in the area?

Sorry to hear this.
I wonder if they target higher value older cars with towtrucks because they're unlikely to have a motion sensor alarm?

Holy cow, proper scum in that area and heston now too. In one of your pics above shows the truck with the doors open, did you manage to get a view of the scrotes?

Motion sensing alarms were available when these cars were current. Whether the pendulum sensor would still work after the best part of 20 years, I wouldn't like to say frown .

I hope the OP has some good news soon (naive though this sounds).
