Have you had a look at rsturbo parts prices? Of course it might be stolen to order, in the same way BMW's and Mercs are stolen to order and sent to the middle east etc. This car is probably going to a bunch of people who are very clued up with the RS brand and know how much the parts are worth etc
Forgive my thickness, but if the handbrake was on, wouldn't that impede/prevent the towing process?
My neighbours had a 06 Fusion taken and they were very surprised as to how it was removed and my wife thought there was a light outside at about 2am. Looks like the same MO is in operation in Essex/London border areas.
