Sorry to burst bubbles, but that VW option of 150W on 230v ain't gonna cook your breakfast.
A typical £80-120 table-top cooker with hot-plate, grill & oven, requires 2900W.
Admittedly, 2900W might be all bits running at once, but you get my drift?
My Braun rechargeable toothbrush uses just 1.3W, so that would be OK; as would be an electric razor.
So critically, you're constrained by the 150W, (check your devices for current/power-draw on the 230v—it should be printed on the charger or power-supply label).
Having said all that, all the ones I've become aware of (VW, AUDI), are EuroPlug 2-pin sockets, and they DO NOT accept our unique UK BS4573 'shaver' 2-pin plugs. The pins are spaced differently, and the UK pins are thicker than the Europlug ones.
[You can get a UK-Shaver to Europlug Adapter, though, for low-power devices that use 2-pin plugs].
Typically, these are Class II double-insulated, and as such, require no earth wire/connexion.
Trying to connect UK Class I devices that require an earth, is inviting disaster, not least because the equipment won't be earthed, but also because it will probably be trying to draw more current than the supply-wires can handle, and burning out…
If you really need to charge iPads on 230v etc., play safe and buy an additional European Class II charger that will fit the car's EuroPlug socket.
