He didn't - the Peter Brock that died was an Australian racing driver, not the car designer.

Gorgeous motor... personally mine would be in the French colours... (white with blue racing stripe) with, just for a laugh, a 4.5 AJPV8 with the tremic 6-spd.
Bet that'd be a great laugh

Lovely car, and £55k +import duty and tax (is that applicable on a kit car?) isn't a terrible price point. Their website doesn't state whether that includes an engine though, and it is only the GRP body. If you want an ally body that's be more like £120k!
Regardless of the shelby name or daytona history, it's still a lovely piece of eye candy.

Thanks Aeropilot, learn something every day but can't help thinking that this is not the original company and as such this a replica and should not carry factory insignia. (Of course as we know, money can buy anything these days).

What's with the 9000 monicker? Doesn't seem to refer to anything (unless they are planning a nine litre!)
Chassis number series. Shelby uses the CSX prefix to 1000 series for the chassis numbers.

The original Cobras started off with the CSX2000 and then the 427's were in the 3000 series and all the subsequent 'continuation' cars have gone 4000, etc. So, 9000 is pressumably the next in the sequence.

This car is Shelby-licensed, therefore it's official, hence the official name.

Speaking of the hundreds of replicas/recreations, what makes a good Cobra and what makes a not so good one?
Drive it and judge for yourself.

Yes 2010 I see, but did not wanted to start a new thread.

I was wondering, were are those side air-intake vents? for, see pictures.

on the superformance website they say this>

The side air intakes behind the doors now form part of the rear panel behind the B-pillars with an added quarter vent style window. In addition to improved interior air flow, visibility has been significantly improved.
to improve interior airflow? it looks like it can scoop lots of air, what if you drive 300km/h were can all that air go? or does it help taking out cabin pressure when driving fast because there is a way for the air to get out? otherwise you would think it can blow the rear window out with those air scoops.

I can not see the design what's behind the panel were that air goes?
