Possible Barn Find - Alfa Romeo Coupe

Hi all,
Firstly apologies as info is sketchy at the moment but my dad has just called me to say that one of his friends just asked his opinion on a car they have had sat in their garage for many years.
Now my dad is not known for his detail so I know very little about this at the moment but he has taken some pics which I should get hold of later in the week; in the meantime I'd like to try and identify what this car may be.
So all I know is this:
- It is an Alfa Romeo
- It is a 2 door coupe with a boot not a hatch
- He 'thinks' it was on an 'L' plate
- The rear was more elegant than the front i.e. the rear tapered off somewhat whereas the front was relatively square
- Apparently there were two engines available for this model and this is the lesser powered one (take that with a pinch of salt though, this guy knows nothing about cars and is just passing on info that he may or may not have been told by his dad).

Apparently this car has been sat for well over 20 years; it was bought brand new by his dad many years back and garaged up when he died; from what I know it has not turned a wheel since.
So any ideas what Alfa coupes were made in the late 60's early 70's that this might be? My knowledge of old Alfa's is limited to the AlfaSud and the Spider, both of which it is not.

Any value to these cars does anyone know? Given how long it has been sat I think it probably needs quite a bit of work but provided there is no rust (according to my dad he couldn't see any on the bits of the body he could see)I suggested if it was a 'desirable' one he might get a couple of grand for it. I think he is looking to reclaim his garage and much as I would like a restoration project I don't really have the space.

Take it out, give it a good clean, make any 'obvious' repairs (ie bolt back on anything that's fallen off), put air in the tyres, free brake calipers etc, stick it in the AROC classifieds and you could get more like £3500 from the right restorer.

my guess is that it is a 1300 GT Junior. I had a 1969 'G' reg in British Racing Green with tan interior. It was the first car I had owned with a 5 speed gearbox, ..... the buzz I used to get shifting up to 5th at 90mph was something else!! If the car is for sale, please let me know. Woooahh, thats a step front Bertone Coupe 1300GTj, if that really is as good as it looks you have a very desirable little car there.
Be very careful where you let it go too and how much. these cars are very much in demand at the moment, particularly the step fronts, they are a great little car in their own right, but are also the basis for the replica GTA which are all the rage at the moment.
