After watching a live experiment on TV last night, which I have to say was quite convincing , I wondered what your thoughts were on this subject.

Has anyone here had a go and if so, what did you experience?

Never tried it myself, but heard lots of people say that they have tried them first hand and they do work. Not sure what to believe to be honest

Its all in their head. They just think it works than their body reacts as if it really is. Gotta love the name though, Ouija

I have in the past (student days), pretty weird sh1t, wouldnt do it again or advise anyone to. Messing with stuff you dont really understand has got to be bad news.

What did they do in the programme that convinced you ?

All paranormal stuff (ouija boards, ghosts, astrology, sceances, mediums, religion etc) is complete bollox.

If everyone using a ouija board is blindfolded, it spells out complete garbage.

Sort of true. I got in touch with a great uncle who was dyslexic - it spelt out LOHEL

I'd agree with you there. But there are powerful psychological effects at work. Not to be messed with whether one considers it total garbage or not.

Same as Feng Shui. Look what horrors of interior design have been perpetrated in its name...

Used to do it and I have to say I wouldn't recommend trying it.

Whether it works or not I think is only for those who have had a go to decide. I didn't think it would, but can't explain some of the things that happened so I am on the side of believing.

Waddingtons (makers of Monopoly) used to sell them around 1969 in toy shops, but dropped them after concerns that it would send nutters over the edge....

Wonder if you can use it to make sense of BMW iDrive? Surround the control wheel with hands and see if you can change the stereo settings with the power of your mind...
