Can anyone help me. Me and my mates were having a few beers a few nights ago and discussed old makes of cars from when we were lads in the 80's and 90's that we drove to destruction.

My mate had a Sao Penza. WE had all never heard of it. And we all had a laugh. Apparently the car was the worst car he had ever driven !

So we thought we would try a little game and see if we could find one for sale and if so buy it and enter it in a classic car rally across Europe or the 2010 Beaujolais Run. Can anyone help us find one or know of a dealer selling one anywhere in the UK. We have tried ebay and Pistonheads but none are listed. And is this the worst car in the world.

All help greatfully received.... Nigel 07545 180957

+ 1 The above are truly awful vehicles, at least the SAO Penza has Jap technology behind it. The FSO & Yugo only have Czechoslovakian & Yugoslavian technolgy behind them....surely there cannot be many left on UK roads now?!

Wikipedia tells me that the Polonez was based on the Fiat 125, and the Yugo was based on the 127.

Hardly the stuff of dreams then.

But we want a Sao Penza. Just because of that damm awful name !

The fun we have had with the name already. AS OPEN AZ.

It has to be a Sao Penza. We plan to convert it to a soft top. The only soft top Sa Penza in the world.

Maybe even Top Gear might be interested.....

It would be just a good laugh !

Come on guys.... Help me find a Sa Penza.

There must be some out there !!!!!

WE know it has Japanese technology.

The name "Sao Penza" sounds Japanese if you say it quickly.

"Saopenza" - A new brand of condoms, or soap !

Imagine - A re branded "Sao Penza" - Called "As Open Az". It would be a convertable.

With a really good paint job and some wide 18 inch wheels.

What a sight travelling across Europe - with a boot full of plonk !

I wouldn't.

Liking them seems to lead to talking to oneself.

Get yourself a fifth generation Mazda 323 and pull the badges off, then stick whatever crap anagram you want on it. The Sao Penza was just a 323 made under license in South Africa.

Exactly the same end result..

ETA - there was a factory built cabriolet version of this model of 323. So, your idea is unoriginal and badly researched as well as being crap.

No I am on a roll now....

Forget the E30 convertable, the DB9 convertable, I want the world's only Sao Penza convertable.

I'm not a wally, I won't shut up and i'm prepared to offer a £100 quid reward to the guy or gal who can find one for me that the owner is willing to be extracted from without force.... and blood.... and anything else.

However if it smells like its been driven by an old ageing 90 year old - currenty living in sheltered accommodation - - it doesn't matter. The tops coming off and the fresh air will get rid of the smell !

In my spare time I run a successful company and I want to turn up in my SP convertable on my 50th Birthday ! And make the eyes of my staff water !

Here they go - toys out the pram now ------ I WANT A SAO PENZA !
