They were doing this at Le Mans the other day, speaking numbers to allow people to sync the sound and pics. No idea how the listening were syncing though!

I just tried the RTL/5Live combo for the qualifying practice today, and 5live was ahead of RTL by almost 20 seconds - so I heard that Hamilton spun off then had to wait for the pictures to catch up! ;^)

Has anyone got a reasonable way of delaying the 5live audio to get it in sync better?

I did take a look at 5live streaming on the Beeb but it seemed to be not working today.
There are audio delay electronic boxes, or the free option is if you can run it through a PC there's software that'll do this.

I was running the Radio Le Mans stream through VLC player, hitting the pause button and just pressing play when it synced up.

You'd need to find the URL for the BBC 5 Live stream for it to work though.

DAB radio with a pause feature. I use it for when I can only find foreign football streams

THansk all good suggestions I'll try getting a delay box sorted out through my laptop for next time. In the mean time I watched it in German - und mein Deutsch hast viel besser bekommt!

LOL - I see Rosberg has just won a massive nipple!

I has 5 Live running on my iPad using a VPN and the TV on SRF2 but the TV was way ahead so I paused it for about 30 secs and it worked really well. Obviously, if you don't have live pause on your TV that isn't going to work.

On the original theme of this thread, I've been duped out of F1 frown

Sky offered a discount, I accepted, F1 disappeared. They didn't tell me this would happen. I now have to have sports (which I have no interest in) to get F1. I've lodged a complaint, but Sky are sending me round and round in circles.

So watch out, Sky viewers--don't get duped like I did!

10 races only on Sky. 9 on BBC.

Now TV (granted no HD) - 10 x £10 passes is £100. No contract and not sucked into the Sky gravy train.

You would have to double that for quali - but you can just keep away from the websites and just catch that on the BBC later in the day. It's usually a merc anyway...

You can also get SS day passes in initial bundles and at discounts on eBay.

Luckily I had read about this when SKY called offering to save me money on my package. Disappointing that they don't like to tell customers about this. Even more disappointing that they still don't get that the average F1 fan has littler interest in non motor sports.
