They always go big for the chequered flag or what is likely to be the end of the pole lap as it's almost always the only bit that makes it into mainstream news. I'd be fairly confident in saying they are required to do it.
Without a doubt. Even the dullest snoozefest will have the commentators shouting as the winner crosses the line a lap ahead of the competition as If it were the closest finish in history.

I’m not a fan of Edwards I’m afraid. Always sounds like he is trying too hard to build up false excitement and his interesting stats often seem shoehorned in and irrelevant.
Like almost every sports commentator ever. It's almost as if it's their paid job.

Could be a right damp squib end to a fantastic season. For all the hype we've had, it ends late at night when many of us have to be at work the next morning.

If I was Lewis I’d probably enjoy the battle between Vettel and the RBs from a safe distance and maybe even let Raikonnen through too.

Not going to happen. hehe

I am not so sure. There are many comments on social media that the channel 4 coverage is better than Sky even when its only highlights. Sky will want to offset their investment (fee) in F1. Channel 4 is thought to be paying around £25 m in fees this year. It would cost me £38 a month to sign up to get Sky f1. although in theory the F1 is a monthly contract so lets assume I only need it for 9 months. Sky therefore costs me 12 months by £20 plus 9 months by £18. Therefore total annual cost £302.

If Channel 4 were to pay Sky £25 m to replicate their current coverage that equals Sky needing to find 82,782 new subscribers, although in reality they need to find a lot more as each new subscriber comes with the cost of installing a dish, supplying a box, etc whilst the Channel 4 income is pure income with no cost.

Whats more likely is that Channel 4 are going to pay Sky £15 m or so which equates to 49,669 subscribers, but channel 4 will only pay an amount which enables them to show the programme at a reasonable time. The Mexico show is late due tot he time difference. I think the highlight times will be pretty much as they have been through the year.

Currently trying to work out if I can get it on Sky. Now TV seems to be the cheapest way but apparently that doesn’t work on the telly
All depends. The Now TV box connects directly to a TV via HDMI. You can use the app and broadcast to a Chromecast or smart tv.

The days of standalone TV's are pretty much over.

I don't have a Now TV box. This would be a one off deal.

A nowtv stick with one month's Sky Sports is only £30 from Argos.

It's not just F1 - FIA series in general seem to be singularly crap at making it easy to watch them.

Last weekend, two endurance races took place - the IMSA 10hr Petit LeMans complete race was on Youtube the same day, a week later and still only a badly edited highlights clip of the FIA WEC Fuji 6hr race - and to make matters worse the video description gives away the result ??

Indycar usually have the full race online a couple of days after the race, whereas the best F1 can to is a 7min highlights clip. Makes the FIA series online coverage look like bloody amateurs !

It's not "the best they can do" - it's a function of legacy rights issues. Blame Bernie...

Just realised that my Samsung TV has the NowTV app installed. So if I go to the NowTV website I can buy a day pass for £7.99 and watch the GP live!

Who’d have thunked it?

Highlights only this week at half past bloody 11.

Stuff that!
£6 with a voucher code for a Sky Sports day pass. I know the C4 coverage is miles better, but the race has the makings of a classic.

Indeed - I share it with my brother. I think two watching simultaneously is the max though.
