What’s rubbish? That there won’t be any F1 racing or that without racing there will be no c4 coverage or if that there is some racing (which there won’t) then the coverage will be from DCs sitting room....?
No idea why you have posted c4s page. They have as much real evidence as you do re whether there will be any racing (there won’t).
Edited to add...you want evidence that there won’t be any racing... just listen to the news. We have a world pandemic that won’t be resolved this season, maybe not next year either.
I cannot see it happening this year either TBH No idea why you have posted c4s page. They have as much real evidence as you do re whether there will be any racing (there won’t).

Also after listening to that interview on sky today with the virologist, basicallly saying IF the vaccine from Oxford works they might be able to make 1,000,000 vaccines a week max. We have 20million essential workers that (his words) will need 2 doses so that’s 40 weeks of production to vaccinate 2/7ths of the U.K. population and that’s also IF we do not have to equitably give some of those vaccines away to other. Countries.
As such YEARS and YEARS could be the outcome - but it will not it will be a hybrid and a solution will be available even if it’s Xbox games being played by the pro drivers.

Taken from the point of view of people hiding away until a proven vaccine is deployed, it could be years and years. Also after listening to that interview on sky today with the virologist, basicallly saying IF the vaccine from Oxford works they might be able to make 1,000,000 vaccines a week max. Taken from a cold hard economic view, we have weeks not months before people have to get back to work - including ideally the global sports series' that in the UK alone are worth £25bn.
Or the country, and all others we could borrow from can all run out of money, the system collapses, no hospitals functioning at all.
All we're doing right now is taking what little time we can afford and hoping for things to improve as well as possible. Be in no doubt though, no country can sustain the current economic shut down for as long as people are arguing it should be sustained. Harsh? Yes - very probably.

There will be no c4 F1 coverage for this season. But if by some miracle the virus was suddenly less impactful then I guess they would just take the F1 feed and the c4 team would commentate from their respective homes.
Rubbish... evidence please...???https://www.channel4.com/4viewers/formula-1-covera...

New presenter for 2021 Alex Jacques (replaced ben Edwards), don't want to be predictable but not keen (to be polite).
Why do sports presenters always need to over-exaggerate their speech style to a degree that becomes bloody annoying? I know others mentioned on the croft has to go thread he sounds like some ageing radio DJ with the way he is pronouncing a lot of his words etc. He sounds alright when he's talking normally. DOn't they listen to themselves back and think yes that sounds stupid?
Edit I didn’t see the Alex jacques must go thread

I didn't think he was that bad. Still preferable to David "Shout the bleeding obvious as if all the viewers are blind" Croft. It's a shame that only after he retired did we realise how good at his job Murray Walker was as he would fill the time in with stories of conversations he'd had with people/drivers and appraise the viewers of things happening that they couldn't see. The only time we've ever had anything as good was that one wonderful season when BBC had Brundle as lead and Coulthard as co-commentator.
I was hoping this year we'd have a similar situation with Coulthard taking the lead and Webber sitting alongside, but DC seems to want a smaller role as he's swapped with Billy monger; who i don't mind despite never having competed at the top level.

Thanks. Of course every single poster that refers to whether there will be any racing this year is giving their opinion. Until there is a formal and firm plan this will remain conjecture. If you believe there will be racing then that’s fine. If you don’t have an opinion that’s fine too. I am of the opinion that there won’t be any racing and that F1 are grasping at straws.
Did this guy ever come back to admit how extremely wrong he was?BarbaricAvatar said:

I suspect they are struggling with the dual impact of the Covid travel/isolation rules & Sky trying to cripple the C4 presentation as there's a suspicion that Billy monger & Alex Jaques weren't at the track. At a guess the fact all the telemetry that is in the comm box can be shown in a cubicle in the UK means they probably decided the commentary can be done from there.
Ben Edwards deciding to hang up the mike was probably because of this as like a lot of us would have enjoyed being part of the F1 circus.
The onscreen talent like Couthard and Steve (not that steve) jones obviously have to be there.
C4 seem to have inherited that bloke that echoes everything buxton says but I guess if they are not together it will seem different.

Suspicion they weren't? They definitely weren't. They were in London.Fundoreen said:

Before 1994, the BBC used to cover far flung races (such as Brazil) with Murray and James sitting in the London studio watch a TV monitor. That made life really difficult for them because they were 100% dependent on the local TV producer for the images they saw. I don't know what timing information was available to them but I doubt it was up to much.Ben Edwards deciding to hang up the mike was probably because of this as like a lot of us would have enjoyed being part of the F1 circus.
