I know that Rosberg and Bottas have done it, when asked by Merc. Lewis has referred to both as a 'Gentleman' for doing so but I don't remember him doing it, and I'm sure he's been asked.
Hamilton stated that Rosberg should have closed in on him before he was prepared to move over.

Rosberg at the time said that closing on Hamilton would have wrecked his tyres.

Both Bottas and Rosberg did slow down and let Hamilton past but clearly this is not in Hamilton's remit.

Apologies if I am late to the party, but I believe this season is beautifully poised to provide us all with definitive proof as to Hamilton's pace and ability.

The walking out of the team part; could you expand on this.
Sorry, chum, I'd rather not. The strop is well enough documented, plus I couldn't be bothered with the hassle.
Of course. To busy googling images of Lewis Hamilton eh rofl
Quite the contrary, chum, my closet isn't plastered with pictures of the Kardashian wink
Neither mine. Now get to wiping your internet search history you pervert, you!

Is his pace and ability in doubt? Really?? Having said that; it is going to be a great season and with the cars evenly matched up front; I'd be happy whoever wins. Thank god for Ferrari getting their sh*t together. Only took them ten years!

I meant in relation to Vettel, if he can beat him in what appears to be a fairly even contest then he will be fully deserving of whatever accolades come his way. I have doubts about his mindset, the move on Ricciardo is a case in point but he is super quick, no doubt.

Ah; well... I see what you're saying. Vettel and Hamitlon have competed in equal machinery before: https://youtu.be/kDkK8a4jHZ8

Very evenly matched indeed and an epic epic battle; the type of which we can only dream of in F1!

I'd not seen that before - thanks for sharing.

I think there is a lot of respect between Vettel and Hamilton, the best comparison I can think of is Schumacher and Hakkinen.

He's a triple champion, they aren't. I also refer you to 4 times champion Vettel when asked the same at RB his reply was 'tough'.

Well perhaps it is about time Bottas, Rosberg etc. does the same.

Rosberg asked for Lewis to be moved out the way, Merc requested Lewis to do so when Nico was still some seconds behind. Lewis refused to slow down to let Nico get passed, Nico was never even close enough to be affected by dirty air and couldn't gain on Hamilton. Lewis said that if Nico got to the back of his car he'd let Nico pass.

In the end, Hamilton was proved correct - he was going long and not stopping again, Rosberg was, so had more pace at the end. Had Lewis complied and slowed down both Mercs would have lost position to other cars.

IIRC The team later apologised to Lewis and said he was right not to slow, due to the way the two different strategies played out,

A good race that one, however Hamilton did win 15 of 20 races that season to win the championship with 172 points. Vettel was 5th with 63 points. In the Masters of F3 race Hamilton won it, Vettel was 11th. Hardly equal at that time in their careers were they?

Think it's a bit late for Rosberg.

Great clean racing by both of them there.

Don't Rate Bottas ..............and his comment " of course I would move over for Lewis , if asked to do so " smacks of the McLaren Prost Era before Senna joined , remember John Watson interviewing Senna ...Senna said how was Prost as a team mate .." Watson said , well Prost is the number 1 driver so take your time ,
Sennas reply " No I am going to blow him away "

similary it appears Bottas has taken the John Watson view ...early days but Bottas is no Rosberg , I predict we will not see wheel 2 wheel combat , bottas will drive for the points and pick up any scraps left by Hamilton ....after accidents / retirements , his mind for a racing driver is a bit strange .....definitely a " number 2 " total waste of a seat

Don't forget that we're in an era where PR is king. Also Bottas is a nice bloke whereas Senna was a dick.

Yeah, it's likely a card Hamilton can play from an amicable position just once. He should play it wisely, if at all.

Senna and Hamilton are very similar racers ..............same can be said of Max .............Alonso is turning into a Mansell , gutsy never give up drives wringing a useless chassis up the grid ...........Vettel like an old version of Schuey
