He was always seen a good driver who looks after his tyres but was never first in line for a top drive... when Honda walked from Brawn, Merc stepped and with the double diffuser headstart, yes he was lucky but he still had to be able to exploit it... which he did. He did the best with what he drove and the talent he had.

A lot of people worked very hard to put him in the position to be paid that amount. Having opportunity and talent isn't the same as working hard. The majority of paid F1 drivers say how lucky they are...

It never ceases to amaze me how some people are so full of their own self importance and believe they actually know something about a situation they can’t possibly know anything about... Out of the car, I'm the opposite of a Lewis fan. However, you can't knock him for being nice to the fans. What do you lot expect? "Yeah, I'm only here because they pay me to come, this place is a corrupt st hole and none of us would bother if it wasn't for the bribe they gave the boss".
