Lewis Hamilton
Discussion
Lewis is a great driver and racer.
He also has what we used to call character, its a bit old fashioned in today's modern F1 where the drivers
are drivers and also have many media appearances to make and are told to behave and most do.
As he is nearing the end of his career perhaps he is pushing the driver boundaries so that he can make a new
career for himself when he finishes driving in a few years.

When at Primary school in the early 1960’s, I was taught that humans are natural omnivores, the biggest clue being the variety of teeth that we possess. This was probably just before a visit from the school dentist. Such trivia is probably excluded from the national school curriculum these days.
Most of my diet is vegetarian, we only tend to eat meat, fish and poultry in our evening meal - meat never more than twice per week. Like HustleRussel, I also take great exception to being told this is wrong. I take particular exception being lectured to by a poacher turned game-keeper like Lewis. He has the benefit of the ever present Angela Cullen, to plan every aspect of his diet, excercise and lifestyle for him. Normal folk rarely do.
I do get that it can be perceived that it is morally wrong to breed animals for slaughter, but that is simply a reflection of how humans rose to the top of the food-chain.
I also believe that it is far more important for him to encourage his fans to maintain a healthy weight by adhering to a sensible diet and exercise.
I don’t get the resentment and feeling lectured though. Lewis wasn’t the first to enthuse about the virtues of a vegan diet, and won’t be the last. Others have spoken of the benefits and said more people should try it. I ignored it, do what I do and get on with my life. It’s not like Lewis came to your door like a JW or Mormon and told you to change your ways. I feel PHers saying they don’t want to be lectured by Lewis are being a bit OTT. And, how long ago was it, last year sometime...? Really! Let it go. There must be more important things to get pissed about.

This, all the way. Am I vegan? No, will I change? No. Do I care about Hamilton expounding on the benefits? No. Is he a brilliant racer? Yes. Nothing else matters.I feel PHers saying they don’t want to be lectured by Lewis are being a bit OTT. And, how long ago was it, last year sometime...? Really! Let it go. Peculiar.
Possibly best just to ignore all comment other than racing, then the folks that want to laugh at LH (he does do a lot of daft things) can have a laugh without getting attacked, and the 'racing only fans' can have their deep meaningful appreciation of their preferred icon.

Lewis driving much these days ?
I do suppose it would be nice if some one could come along and make him go a bit quicker..Every era has a stand out, but when you start to be putting pressure on all the records.. then you can be considered as not one of the greats but the best of the best..

.
Angela is also a dab hand with Andrex, apparently..
Poacher turned game-keeper is a good analogy.
For someone who has only benefitted from the constant support of wealthy white management in his chosen career, it's curious that he assumes other black candidates are not being selected into the sport, based upon merit.

There is no racism in the world, you're right. People should just shut up about it, particularly if they benefit from the support of white folk. Poacher turned game-keeper is a good analogy.

Lewis spends plenty of time in the US but has so far remained silent about this racism.
Curious eh ?

Lewis is yet to comment on young black men randomly attacking the Jewish community across the Bronx.

Dunno, perhaps he doen't know about it and/or he's speaking about his own experience. However, I don't believe this is about Lewis Hamilton for you. Lewis spends plenty of time in the US but has so far remained silent about this racism.
Curious eh ?
Anyway, I going to judge you too, and will say nothing further.

Lewis is only prepared to highlight a singular and presumed form of racism.
Got it
Lewis himself is proof that it doesn't exist in F1
