That McLaren looks really awful. I'm disappointed that I took a photo of it and didn't notice! I think it's supposed to be an MP4/7 but looks more like an F3000 of some sort. The Sauber 'C13' at Sinsheim is actually a C12A liveried as a C13, so you have to take their descriptions with a pinch of salt. Still an excellent day out with masses of other petrol-head transport stuff. I will go to the sister museum at Speyer this year. Apologies for drifting off-topic.

The yellow Benetton is a B192 of Lorina Mclaughlin the other is a green one is a mongrel. The "Mclaren" looks like a late 80s Formula 3000 car my guess a Lola with some sort of homemade engine cover as the Lolas up to 1990 didn't have one.

The one they list on the site is a B194 isn't it?

Soon as I opened the link and saw it that was my immediate thought. General shape is spot on and the front wing is definitely right.

Either way it's poor, not that MP4 level of poor but I hate it when the cars are liveried up in later year schemes. Most of the current F1 teams do it with the V8 cars when they exhibit them at Goodwood and they look awful.

A snip at that price, I'd buy it if I didn't have a mortgage

"Imagine turning up to a trackday in this"

There were various Benettons in the EuroBoss/Boss series over the last 20 years. Off the top of my head and i'm happy to be corrected are the following;

Klaas Zwart had 2 x B197 known as Ascaris with flat bottoms and Judd V10s. He also had a B196 which was badly damaged at Brands Hatch also with a Judd V10.

Mansell motorsport a B197 flat bottomed with a Judd V10 often confused with the Ascari cars but a another car. Went to USA,

Patrick d'Aubery ran a B192/193 can't recall which it was.

Kokney Koi had 2 B194 one was a Schumacher car I believe both sold on. These were run for several seasons by various drivers and was a championship wiinner last seen in the series driven by Phil Keen at Brands Hatch. One was badly damaged at Brands Hatch in the early 2000s.

Phil Stratford is running a B197 this year in the series which is one of the above Ascaris or Mansell cars.Raced before by Marijn van Kalmthout.

Manselll Motorsport also had a B199.
Matthew Mortlock bought a vast amount of cars etc and qualified a B186 Turbo but didn't make the race.
f1 sales.com this now takes you to Heritage F1.

James Martin has a B196.

John Reekes owns the B190 that Piquet won the 1990 Japanese Gp.

That seems a reasonable estimate if its right that the car is a race winner and has been used by Nelson Piquet and Michael Schumacher!
But then it also states its back to original spec but only has 650bhp, i am right in thinking it cant be both aren't i?

Anyone know of someone i can speak to, to check this out?

The original 1989 HB units were rated at 630 or thereabouts, rising to 700 by the HBA8 variation in 1993.

650 sounds there or thereabouts for a 1991 unit.
