Indeed, but a Jordan, not a Benetton.

I think we have all given the benefit of the doubt that this is intentionally a faintly off topic but related post

Mickey Cobblers being Benetton's most famous scion by some distance and all

I recall seeing a Benetton at the Bournemouth Wheels Festival, driven by a lady.

Sorry no more info

Yes - I've seen that before too. Its a B192 - driven by Lorina McLaughlin. Not sure if she still owns it - last year was the last Bournemouth Wheels Festival.

Yep, its nice to see these old cars out and up close - especially somewhere out of context like Bournemouth. Just a shame that so many are not running their correct period engines anymore. I'm sure the Benetton was (Ford HB V8 back in 1992?), and also there was a very nice Lotus Judd when I last went. But there was also a Jordan Honda (which had an engine that was neither a V10, nor a Honda), plus a car that was apparently Damon Hill's 1997 Arrows - but again, without the Yamaha V10 engine. I guess the complexities of running these things mean it's not possible (or the engine manufacturer takes back the engines at the end of the season). But either way, its a shame - would have been fantastic to hear the sound of a V10 F1 engine ricocheting off the seafront hotel windows smile

100%.

It was a great event, but sadly not enough sponsorship although over 1 million people had attended. I didn't realise the engines had been swapped out, what a shame however i'm sure it keeps the running costs down.

Going a bit off tangent, but hearing this beast being given some beans up close was my highlight of the event - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Gf-RYEz0tA (not my video unfortunately) - much better sound than any of the F1 cars that were there. Of course there is an F1 link, because the engine was derived from the 1990 Ferrari F1 car smile

You can't buy Mugen V10s there are none in private ownership and HBs are very very expensive if you can find one!
