Spa WEC Quick visit
Discussion
I find myself on gardening leave between two jobs which means that I have a little spare time on my hands. I was considering a quick trip to Spa for the WEC and was wondering if anyone had any advice as to the best way to do it. I'm thinking of going on the Friday and driving back after the race or on sunday morning. Any suggestions?
We did pretty much exactly that last year - it's easy & relatively cheap.
Eurotunnel to Calais followed by a boring drive down to Spa on the motorway. We found a place on AirBNB which was ~10 minutes drive to the circuit for quali. There was a longer queue to get in on race day but even that didn't take too long.
Pack for all weather, take decent walking shoes and walk the full circuit. If you're into photography, there are some cracking places to shoot from.

This is exactly what I've just been pondering - I've got the time so may just go for a last minute trip. But it's quoting me £199pp (with ferry/entrance/camping) but that seems a bit steep, Considering entry is only 31euro, and ferries are £35 for a car. Should I wing it and find a campsite when I get there? How was Les Combes free? Any advice gratefully received
I can't guarantee Les Combes being free, but I wasn't charged last year for the WEC (was for the 24), should point out that there were no facilities though, presumably there are in the main car parks.
ETA - Another option is you're in a camper / motorhome is to park on the verge of the road running up to the Stavelot gate.
