Haas has changed brakes from Brembo to Carbon industrie, so Grosjean might be happier.

Looks like Kvyat is going to torpedo Vettel in Russia again.

Indeed . that's my post breakfast viewing sorted .

Wondering if the race had been in S Korea how F1 would react in these troubled times? Knowing the F1 bubble , sample driver quote would be 'Oh right . So , like there's another Korea too , a bit north of here? Who knew ? So ...it's sort of like North and South Carolina then ? Cool. I'll get Toto to ask Bernie why we can't have .like a double header next year.'

Ecclestone ' Kim Jong Un - I like the guy. He gets things done , like Hitler did ; he 's no time for the corrupt press. He fires anti aircraft guns at people who look at him in a funny way ..? Ok ...so your point is what., exactly ?'

Ferrari have had to change the turbos again. Onto the 3rd units already. Penalties later in the year guaranteed.

Well that's the championship done & dusted in Lewis's favour as from what I'm seeing Ferrari are on course for 2-3 grid penalties for engines, then factor in at least 1 gearbox penalty (for all competitors) & it adds up to being Lewis's championship to lose.

I never thought I'd say this, but I miss Rosberg.

I hope Bottas improves. However, it's a lot to ask of him to be pushing Hamilton to the edge in his first season at the team.

As I recall Hamilton didn't have the best reliability last year...

He also had a few races where he wasn't quite on it.

You don't think you are being a wee bit premature? We've got a rejuvenated Vettel and Merc are about as reliable as their road cars.

In any case, there's lot more to follow further down the field. The RB team mates' battle could be the feature of the season. There are other battles as well.

I'm excited by this season. It has an air about it. I can see it being a classic.

Stoffel Vandoorne gets a 15 place grid penalty for an engine change after a problem was detected in FP1. Because it takes too long to replace indiviual components, McLaren have opted to replace the whole power unit.

He is now on his fifth turbocharger and MGU-H, having already taken fresh units going in to the race weekend.

No I don't with the margins being so fine between the two cars (I still feel the Mercedes just has the edge on the Ferrari) & this being a low deg track I'd be shocked if Hamilton doesn't win (I've already called a Mercedes 1-2 for this race) long term even if the Ferrari doesn't carry on going through components at it's current rate they'll still be looking at two penalties.

So while I can see some good races between the two there won't be a proper challenge from Ferrari.

Exactly & that was one of the reasons for him not winning the Championship, I don't mind that Ferrari have had the failure or three but all the talk of a Championship challenge is slightly off IMO, I hope to be proved wrong but I can't see it.

They'll definitely take a penalty at either Hungary or Spa.
