Do items at these things generally go over the asking price?

Been watching that for a while, hope they get all the lots photographed in time but I've registered anyway.

Glancing through that you can get a real idea of the terrifying costs of running an F1 team.

The compressors and generators are all £thousands.

Surely some bargains to be had there but I can't think what I'd use any of it for!

I followed the whole of the previous Marussia auction, and there was only a handful of things that I would have considered value purchases. A lot of stuff was going for insane prices. I've no idea how the Caterham auction went as I didn't have any chance to follow that.

Will be interesting to see how things pan out this time.

I'm going to buy front and rear wishbones, uprights, dampers etc and connect them to a rudimentary home-made wooden kids go-kart chassis. The amusement of having my kids play in a little go-kart with full F1 suspension components will be worth the price :-)

£500 isn't the asking price, its the starting price.

I've registered as there's some non F1 related stuff in there I'd buy if the prices don't go too wild. I've got a feeling the stuff I'm after will fetch decent prices due to the resale ability of it, not that I want it for that.

Some of the lots are amusing, jeggings, 30xpairs of socks, shoes, etc.

You could even kit yourself out in a full pit crew outfit including shoes and helmet hehe

Il keep an eye on it as there are a lot of interesting things going. Il be stunned if I can actually get anything though.

Starting for a rear wing mock up of £250 (lot 184)? I am pretty sure that will way be out of my league when it gets to the sharp end of bidding.

Hopefully pick up a set of wheels, if that gets to much maybe a shirt and some wheel nuts.

Sad to see some 2017 spec parts there..

Add a piece of glass and some lighting, and the wheels would make a cool coffee table for a man cave

So as all the bits are being auctioned that presumably means that no single buyer bought 'Manor' as Ron D was reported to be interested.

What happens to the F1 enter position.

Is that also for sale or does ownership revert to the F1 owners.
