I hope that Liberty Media are going to move quickly to fix what is a bloody great mess of rules. McLaren are already struggling to keep Alonso interested in the sport and humiliating him with pointless comedy penalties cannot be good for the sport. The guy has three world championships to his name FFS.
He wishes.

Screw his biting point setups tommorow so he bogs down, sorted.

They won't do that as they'd rather he got in front of Bottas. And Hamilton.

But they will swap them somewhere. TBH it's easy to do that, as Vettel is quicker over the race distance. Split the pit stops by a few laps and ... sorted.

Stupid track layout, let's hope the F1 race doesn't end up in a mess like the F2 race,

But what else could they do? The track had to follow all the quaint narrow streets of a city that has been there for hundreds of years.

Oh... wait.

I think it's almost guaranteed judging on all the practice sessions and quali.

Someone is going to tap a wall at least. Surely? If not, I'm sure a McLaren will manage to breakdown right in that tight section.

Rowland's penalty yesterday was bullst though, slowed by 7 tenths for yellow flags and got a penalty for it.

Today's failure didn't help either - that would have been a podium.

LeClerc is the real deal, Haas next year I reckon.

Speed wasn't the issue.

The reason was apparently that it was faster than other laps - traffic etc. Stewards acknowledged that he had slowed down for the flags, but needed to go slower still. How much ? who knows... typical vague stewarding we've come to expect I'm afraid.

Brundle just confirmed that Ferrari have had to remove SOMETHING from their car but stopped short of saying it was an auxiliary oil tank that it was rumoured they were using

Johnnie Herbert's lap analysis really is as good as useless. "Here he turns left... this straight is flat out..."

Would that have allowed them to circumvent the fuel flow rate?
