Lewis is a little diva, actor and person with a lot of tattoo's and bling. bhing and moaning is his trade when things don't go his way. Especially in the Rosberg years. He's a bit annoying, over the top (best crowd in the world every race is somewhat unbelievable) a bit overpayed, a bit too much hey look at me I'm pretending to be a rapper/singer/superstar kind of person. He's awkward at times (or more than at times). His Senna idolatry doesn't come accross very sincere. His instagram posts seem to revolve about him either sitting on things very expensive (like private jets) while looking smug into nowhere or being in places that his profession doesn't want him to be while pretending to be a superstar. And he seems to be very much a loner.

LH seems to be a bit of a fony weirdo. Maybe he is.

Max is just a very talented, spotty and very determined young driver. Arrogant probably, but you get the impression you pretty much get what see and hear. Unlike LH.

Shame it's the Mercedes F1 car which is so dominant otherwise he'd be the youngest F1 WC by now.

Agreed.

Of course you need the right car to win, but to win consistently also requires an epic driver.

The fact he also manages to have fun and run other projects is just further reinforcement of how good he is.

In reality, however he comes across, he's on the brink of at least equalling Schumacher. And without any of the favouritism that he had.

Agreed, seems to be more interested in what they wear than in how they race, which I think odd given how many points the one driver accrues each year, compared to how many the other driver has so far thrown away.

Just my opinion and it’s mainly formed from watching telly so could well be cobblers!

VER has matured and impressed immeasurably since last season, from Monaco in particular. There was the odd blip like Brazil but it’s probably no more than growing up under the microscope.

He’ll be ok, I’m sure.

He’s definately matured, definately a more rounded driver but let’s see if that disappears when he’s in a proper championship fight

I think his new found pragmatism might disappear for a bit. F1 needs some different personalities and MV makes a great sullen villain.

He's got it easy at the moment as there is not an expectation to win, his teammate is not challenging him and Ferrari keep inviting him to be third!

I agree but put some of it down to the fact that he's now No1 in the team. He's beating the Ferrari's which is something of a surprise to me, even though they keep shooting themselves in the foot, he's the best of the rest atm.

You're not allowed to say things like this. It's the Official Lewis Hamilton Fanboy Forum, and anybody who says anything detrimental or derogatory against St Lewis of Stevenage (don't forget, he dragged himself up from the slums, to a point where he could reclaim the VAT on his private jet, and is therefore deemed worthy of adulation) will be deemed to be a blasphemer, and will be hounded out of the close-knit brotherhood who worship Hamilton, and everything that he does. Or says. Although that can sometimes be a bit difficult to translate into English and understand.

It is true that he a bhing a lot when things don't go his way and I'm so happy to hear him cry from time to time. Anyways I think he gets away with a lot of st tho, like last year I remember at least 3 times when he wasn't penalised and should've been, like that pit entry scenario for example

I don’t consider myself to be a particular fan of Hamilton. I love to watch him race, but the same goes for Leclerk and Verstappen.

However, let’s look at the criticisms from DS:

Has tattoos. Guilty.

Bling. Guilty.

bhing and moaning. Yes, he does. More than others? Not so sure.

Overpaid? He seems to be giving sufficient returns to Merc, and they are, after all, the only arbiters of his worth to the team. So not guilty.

Pretending to be a rapper/singer. I thought he was a rapper and a singer. He might not be very good, but you did not criticise his quality. So a not guilty there.

Pretending to be a superstar x 2. This one is weird. I think a not guilty with no comment the best response.

He’s awkward at times. Is that a problem?

Doesn’t idolise Senna. The evidence suggests otherwise. NG.

Instagram posts. Is that a problem?

He sits on expensive things. I should imaging the Merc tops some jets.

He’s a loner. Where did that one come from?

He’s a pony weirdo. (Damned autocorrect). Needs explanation. He’s not pretending to be an F1 superstar. He’s the biggest around at the moment.

He’s not like Verstappen. No, you’re apparently right there.

DO’L

People who criticise him for reclaiming the VAT on his jet will be hounded out of PH. Not sure this has ever happened. Idiots are sometimes ignored though.

I reckon LH is an exciting driver. I think MV is an exciting driver. I think Lcl is an exciting driver. I like them all when they are driving. When they are not – who on earth cares?

Apart from DS and DO’L.

Why would he not reclaim vat on his jet? It's a commercially working craft, it's in a company... He pays that company to use it. That's a standard arrangement.

Can say what he likes, but he just looks like an utter arse complaining about all the off track stuff rather than his driving on a Motorsport forum.

With that said, we should probably take it as a compliment that he can’t complain about Lewis’s driving and instead has to revert to petty pathetic snipes about fashion instead. Sad little man

Big fan of Lewis, but you're wrong about favouritism - Bottas has moved over on a number of occasions for LH.

Hamilton, Verstappen and Leclerc made the race today. Kudos to all three.

MASSIVE difference.

Bottas moves over in Russia, America and somewhere else (can’t remember) all when Bottas was out of the championship hunt. There’s no clear number 1/2 in the team and neither receives new parts before the other.

Schumacher had new parts first, had number 1 status in his contract and had a whipping boy from the start of the championship.

There’s team orders and TEAM ORDERS

Doubt it. Team orders situation has been clear in Merc since 2014. Drivers are free to race until one is out of the hunt. Happened last year and it’s the only year because of Bottass poor start. Unless ferrari make a miraculous recover I see this playing out like 2014-2016
