You two are forgetting London...
I may be woefully ignorant, but my impression of London is that areas seem to change a little more slowly. In the US you can literally go a block over and it's gone from acceptable to high risk.

Likewise, in Brazil, SA, US, the likelihood is that a violent robbery will involve a gun and that resisting will get you shot. This is much less likely in London IMHO, where you may get knifed or a good kicking.

The issue is the speed at which you can go from A-OK to deep st to dead, all for a shiny watch and £20.

Wow, thanks for the repsponses guys. Got there and back without incident.

What an epic trip. I'll write up some stuff to share with you guys if you're interested over the next few days (back to hectic work schedule)...

I took a bunch of pics, here's a link:

Off the top of my head... my buddy had organised the travel with his massive air miles account. He only went and booked FIRST.. lol
Favours called in with some local guys my buddy knows and we're hooked up with mercedes hospitality - wow.
Being the only brits in the Merc hospitality area meant we were sort of special treatment from the team guys so we got in the garage more than once..
got to hold lewis's race seat! bumped into Emerson Fittipaldi. Met Lewis, shook DC's hand. Met Nick Lauda, Bernie.. managed to borrow some passes to get into the paddock, got invited by team to get under the podium for the presentation - got champagne on us! Photo bombed Toto's post race interview. Held Valteri's trophy.. yep so much awesome stuff my head is still spinning. fantastic trip. wink

I think you are going to make a lot of us very envious with that trip.

Very glad it was event free.
