New car reveals

Most striking thing about that video and what is mainly wrong with F1 is the comment about well over a thousand people working on producing that car for a year.
I'm all for employment but how sustainable is that long term and how on earth can a new team coming in compete with investment on that sort of scale?

That doesn't include the motor, which for Merc is about another 600 people.I'm all for employment but how sustainable is that long term and how on earth can a new team coming in compete with investment on that sort of scale?
It's sustainable as long as the money supports it - bear in mind that while Mercedes are winning a lot, they are also getting a lot in prize money, so it offsets the budget and makes the F1 team quite cheap compared to funding it entirely out of a marketing budget.

They might get them on the basis that the only reason to have the exhaust that way it is is to blow the rear wing and there's already precedent been set in previous seasons that using exhaust gases in that way counts as a movable aerodynamic device.
I cant think of a single time that argument has been made that exhaust gases are movable aero devices.Gassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
