I like Steve Jones, plenty of screen presence, at ease in front of the camera, has a great rapport with DC and the rest of the presenting team as well.
I have to say I agree. I like him - I think he does a good job of sticking everything together.

I mostly record the races, live or highlights, and watch them when I've got time anyway... I've not had any problem with the MotoGP highlights show this way (in fact, I've been busy/out all this week, so haven't watched last weekend's yet); I'm sure I'll manage F1 the same way.

Will it be as good? No.
Will I ever pay for Sky? No.
So I'll make the best of it.

I liked the intro to the piece on Kimi - referencing all the critics Kimi has but his response is that he doesn't care what they think.

I did wonder, based on the way Jones addressed the camera & worded it, whether that was a clever dig to all the people on Twitter, and on here, that complain about Steve's presenting style and the fact that, like Kimi, he also really doesn't care what they think hehe

Yep, finding him increasingly irritating, I'm old and not hip.

Jones the F1 needs to go, a Jake Humphries clone is needed if the man himself won't come back.

Wingo.
I think Dr Ranj should do it. smile

He didn't say when it would be on, though, did he?

With the terrible news the Bernie has sabotaged F1, with no free to air UK coverage after this year, what are your plans ?
I have never been very bothered about F1. I sometimes watch the start to see if there are any crashes. I then might have it on in the background, to see if anything happens. I am not bothered.

I won't pay any money for anything on TV.

As in time scales of when the highlights would be shown after the actual live race?

If so then no, but it was just a thrown in comment as opposed to a feature on it.

Never understand people just
watching for crashes.
I sat in a mile long traffic jam last week, as we got closer it was clear the accident was on the opposite carriage way, 3 fire engines, ambulances and an air ambulance sitting there.
Our side down to as snails pace so rubbers neckers having a good beak at the scene. rolleyes

I have followed motor sport for a long time. Mike Hawthorn was my first hero.

Crashes? I've seen too many of them. frown

An attitude that I agree with to a large extent but not shared by the vast majority under a certain age. I have family in their late twenties/early thirties who spend £200 a month on various TV and streaming subscriptions. How on earth they find the time is beyond me. I struggle to fit in an hour of TV every couple of days at most.

While dozing in front of the telly during F1 singapore race it occured to me for not the first time that everything on the screen was some sort of company or product logo to remind me to favour these companies and their products.
it made me think how stupid are Argos who give away their catalog when they should be charging me for the
massive book of wonder.
Amazon should put itself behind a paywall so only an exclusive and select group can see the wonders for sale.
You should have to get tickets and queue up to go shopping at Tesco's etc etc.
