He needs to mature, that's for certain, though he's had many a season to grow up yet hasn't. He has spoken about taking a different mental approach for the year ahead, we'll soon have proof enough if he's capable of walking the walk.

Do we think the tyre changes will have a big impact this year? Testing at Barcelona is not going to tell the teams very much about the Ultea Hard and Soft tyres, but hopefully their availability will ensure that places like Monza become two-stoppers.

The opposite might also mean that Singapore is no longer a difficult circuit for the Mercedes steamroller.

There's been some activity around the remnants of the Brabham company on social media in recent weeks. Force India are still yet to reveal anything about their new name and their livery. A change of ownership of Force India was mooted in the summer and the Brabham company were linked to those rumours...

Meanwhile of the 2018 car Sergio Perez says he's "seen some colours"

Williams appoints Oliver Rowland their ‘official young driver’, when both of their current racing drivers are younger than him!

He is a talent.............father passed away when he was younger.

I'm really pleased for the lad.

15 minute "Paddock Uncut" plus a 30-minute "Ted's Notebook" every day, but no live coverage.

The BBC website has live text coverage.

BBC has a live text feed, which is best?

I take it nobody’s doing any audio coverage?

How long before a McLaren stops on track? hehe

(Or a Toro Rosso for that matter)

I'll get in there early - Mercedes looks miles ahead.....

Also Renault playing the long game with their engine updates, so don't expect fireworks for the first third of the season it seems

It's like a tradition!

Poorly done up wheel nut ahoy! Fingers crossed there hasn't been too much damage to the floor

Looks like the wheel came off and the spin was the result. Photos show him quite a distance from the wall.
