So, what do we think Ricciardo's game plan will be for tomorrow?

Vet and Ham will fancy this now since Ric is without a wingman.

I don't fancy Ricciardo's job tomorrow if he manages to keep the lead out of the first corner.

However, Merc weren't sure of the hypers in Q2 and I think I saw the deg on Ferrari was a bit high too.

If it were me, I'd just go hell for leather at the start of the race, wait for the Ferrari/Merc tyres to drop off and cover them when they pit. Easier said than done. smile
While I would be very happy for DR to win, I think the result will be a lottery.

Anyone two-stopping will get buried while the second half of the grid could be greatly advantaged by starting on the right tyres to one-stop. Throw in the risk of an SC and it could become one of the few races not won from the top three.

How much is Danny going to enjoy lapping Max today? Quite a lot I'd imagine.

Can you provide a source for that wisdom? I'm not interested in twitter links BTW.
Look, it's quite simple. If you need it explaining it to you then you're part of the problem.
Is there a problem though ?
Only in cupcakes world.

Furthermore, being awkward to lap might be the only way they can utilise Max to support DR's race.

I hope this doesn't turn in to a safety car lottery, unless my favourite driver wins then it's fine.

I think Vettel will win.

It's hard to imagine the result not being influenced by incidents/ safety car - pity

I think it's going to be carnage on the first corner or so. Or, at least, breathtakingly exciting.

They say you can't win a race on the first corner, but you can certainly lose it. But Monaco is arguably the exception to that.
I expect Max will feel the need to make up seven places going into Saint Devote, and it will all go horribly wrong. Although I'm rather hoping he leaves it until Lap 3 (my PH sweepstakes pick).

Max is starting at the back of the grid, at Monaco, theirs nothing to utilise unless 10 cars collide.

Let's just hope he crashes into the little diva, after 4 years of Merc dominace. I'd like to see a Ferrari wining the WDC.

I still think VerStrapOn into Grosjean into Magnussen first corner. Followed by lengthy SC car and Hamilton whinging about slow SC.

Verstappen crashing into Grosjean or vice versa even more so is a very likely outcome.

I think that this scenario has the potential to turn the race into a snoozefest.

Leaders all switch to decent tyres at the end of lap 1 and then follow each other for the rest of the race.

Here's an interesting fact to mull over while watching the procession later on. The F2 pole time this year (1.21.2) was faster than Senna's epic 1988 pole time (1.23.9).

Ricciardo's pole time is 13 seconds quicker than Senna managed.

I love progress.

Agreed. Despite Monaco always being on my 'try to watch live' list (Spa and Canada being the others) I fear I may be disappointed.
