Really hate it when they do Vettels radio after a pole/win and he goes into all that Italian bks gratize rigatize multiple times.
Why? Seems a strange thing to be annoyed about. Non native speaker thanking his employer in their native language....
Because it's so over the top and the same thing all the time. By all means congratulate the team and I applaud him for doing it in their native tounge but please change it once in a while.
If he was saying it in English you wouldn't mind basically.

It doesnt bother me, just another little thing that makes F1 slightly more amusing and gives us something to laugh about.

Hmm...........................

The Ferrari seems more level if anything with the Mercedes which is refreshing since it has been a one team advantage since 2014.

Anyway your thoughts are not what Toto Wolf thinks.

Nope, that is old news. Toto thoughts are different now he has seen the Ferrari development:

I found Lewis's argueing with the team over shutting the engine down quite odd, is it telling of a lack of faith in the pit walls strategy/decision making?

I think you'll find if any other driver said the same thing over and over after every pole and win it would also grate me, nothing to do with what language he uses.

Find it laughable the implying hint of xenophobia in your post, when people on here go on about Lewis "gold" chain.

How else would you say “Thanks Guys”? It’s probably what any other driver would say, in one language or another and hardly over the top when the guys are, in the main, Italian.

And he is quite fluent in Italian, and no doubt can spell in it too, which is clearly not your forte.
I'm pretty sure the Italian language is vast enough and his fluency is advanced enough that he doesn't have to say the same thing everytime.

Also I'm not an Italian don't speak Italian so wouldn't know how to spell what he says but can spell bell end which you clearly are.

STOP!

Can we PLEASE not have every thread revert to petty name calling and childishness. Discussion and debate, not abuse.

We haven't even had the race yet...

I suppose you could always mute the audio of your TV on the slow down lap, if Vettel wins a race.

For truly cringe worthy interviews and back slapping, it's difficult to top NASCAR and NHRA. Few other sports try and squeeze thanks into their 72 sponsors in a mere few seconds. Though they're reigned in more on that front these days fortunately biggrin.

In all seriousness, Vettel's settled in at Ferrari and is following the approach Schumacher took, to integrate into the team and lead it toward better times by getting everyone on the same page and winning & losing as a team, rather than being a happy family during the good times, and throwing the team under the bus during a rough period.

He's fully invested in the team, and it's starting to produce results. His choice to speak to the team in their native language isn't done to wind you up, it's to thank the team in a way the mechanics can appreciate.

I agree - apparently he spends a lot of time at the factory and makes a lot of time to work with the mechanics, engineers and wider crew. (source: friend of a friend who works at Maranello on the road cars)

Actually, ‘bell end’ would normally be written as ‘bellend’ or at least hyphenated to ‘bell-end’, wouldn’t it?

Grazie, ragazzo.

I'm looking forward to seeing if Bottas can keep in touch with the Ferrari; they have found some serious straightline speed.

VET
RAI
BOT

Is my prediction. With Lewis making 4th or 5th, if he isn't taken out in the first lap.

Gasly's had a 'tactical' engine parts change, so he's at the back now, 20th behind Ricciardo. https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/137569/gasly-tak...
