He’s vowed to never race again and has offered his race license back.
That may be more about the survival of the family business than his future motorsport participation. Latest episode doing the rounds on twitter - Ticktum says Trump is not an idiot because he's a billionaire.

great talent, low brain power and an ability to misjudge pretty much everything. He's the 21st century's Tommy Byrne.Cyder said:
Deserved after the videos that emerged of him over the weekend. I’m not sure I believe his version of the timing.
The weird thing there is that he was a pay driver at Williams too - so shouldn't be making comments about Latifi even if that wasn't the cause..The whole Ticktum story is a shame tbh. This season, he's genuinely impressed in F2 on merit a fair few times, I and I know others have enjoyed watching him drive. He just can't seem to help saying/doing mind bendingly stupid things..

His parents must be so pissed off, it takes so much money and commitment to get your kid where Ticktum is, even if talented- and he has repeatedly squandered every opportunity. I don’t know where he gets his self importance from, it’s not as though he has shone in Formula 2.
The dumb thing is he kind of has shone in F2, on occasion. It's just he's far more infamous for the negative episodes he offers up frequently. If it were not for all the negative stuff, I'd say he could have become and remained a dev/reserve driver at a team like Williams on merit and if he also had a really strong (and clean..) F2 season, then perhaps even a chance at a drive for a season. But that's all day dreaming now. His parents paid his way in to an opportunity and he's royally fked it. Williams would rather hand back the balance of the £££ than have him hang around as a dev driver, which in theory they could just leave him with the title of and take the money without him actually doing anything. The fact they've ejected him tells you all you need to know about how he's perceived at the F1 level now.. sad.

Couldn’t agree more. I don’t know his personal situation - but shy of a full on billionaire+ status we’re talking serious amounts of money. He’s 22 and will pave a way in endurance with his driving talents I’m sure - but that’s not the point is it. TheDeuce said:

Agreed. They could have just left him on the simulator every now and again, or if sim hours are restricted given him a PS4 and a steering wheel. TheDeuce said:

It's not really a shame, though, is it, except for himself and his family and those who have paid for him to get this far in life. For the rest of us, he'll be instantly forgotten as soon as he moves on. There will be any number of equally-talented, well-funded young drivers who aren't dicks coming up to fill the space he leaves. He hasn't actually achieved anything worthy of being missed.thegreenhell said:

Quite. I think he was an ok racer when clean but lost any possible respect after the incident from which he should have had a 10+ year ban.Gassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
