Still makes no sense; you can’t extrude a tyre. Some components have always been extruded but that’s the same for any tyre.

Certainly until very recently Pirelli’s F1 tyres were made by basically the same process as any other.

You need to stop with the sensible vibes, this IS F1 you know!!

18" wheels will leave oodles of space for steel brakes if they are actually serious about err, cost saving for example.

steel brake discs don't actually increase braking distances, zanardi ran them in F1 when he drove for williams... they just increase weight.
