Is this even in the correct forum?

I know nothing about these but want to get one for my kids to have some fun with .I started trawling Amazon then thought I would ask here first.

All I want is something that has good range and won't struggle to cruise against a small stream. I guess I am looking around the 30 to 50 pound mark.

Any do's don'ts or recommendations for a newbie?

I think I’d have to try and stretch to one of these

Or if budget is key

The cat style boat should handle like it’s on rails. The mono hull should carve through the water better. Joysway seems like a good brand. They do a self righting boat for just over £100. It’s mega quick and I’m tempted myself.

IMO size matters too so that’s why my preference would be the bigger boats. Take a look on YouTube for them to get an idea of how they handle.

Liking those options, v similar to what I found today when trawling the net.

I found the Udi Voyager today, seems ideal, but, those seem just as good. What I also want is some kind of reliable comeback if it goes wrong, like Amazon etc - which does limit choice. How reputable is that site?

Wheelspinmodels and modelsport are big players in this country. Not sure about modelsport but wheelspinmodels has a huge shop somewhere near Birmingham. Amazon customer service is no quibble. Even if you broke it I doubt they’d argue. The model shops however...
