2 crashes within hours of each other in the US :(

Not a good day for vintage aviation in the US...
News filtering through on the social media grapevine,
A Confederate Air Force C47 crashed on takeoff from Texas. Word is he had an engine failure at rotate, the plane was said to yaw hard which collapsed the gear. As it slid to a stop it caught fire, all souls on board got out safely but the aircraft full of fuel burnt to the ground.
At pretty much the same time, I'm hearing that a Vampire has plummeted into a farmyard in Michigan, killing the pilot and injuring some on the ground.

The video of the C47 going down was hard too watch.
I’m not aviation expert so won’t comment on the likely cause however it was painful because you just knew he wasn’t going to get airborne.
The Venon also apparently crashed on take off. Reported that the pilot hit the ground hard, bounced & hit a farmyard.
Pilot & a number of animals killed with two farm workers being critically injured.
A sad day for the family of the deceased & the injured.

No more news on the Vampire/Venom(?) but more details are being discussed on pprune about the C47. People are saying that the uncommanded roll back the ground is a vicious power stall caused by the attempt to get it off the ground.
The disagreement seems to stem over WHY it was hoiked off the ground with the tail still low. Incorrect CofG? Gust locks still on? Autopilot return cables fouling controls (apparently a historic, known issue)?

It was ex-Swiss AF DH Venom FB.54 N747J operated by the World Heritage Air Museum, and was being flown by WHAM President Marty Tibbitts. They had recently just re-flown the ex-Classic Jets Meteor T.7 WA591, in the USA that they had bought last year and shipped out to the USA for their vintage jet collection.
One of the 2 injured farm workers, was air-lifted to hospital in a critical condition.
