You’ve got to wonder if he would actually be up there.
Red Bull do a lot right, but take the media rose tinted lenses off and they do not finish enough races.
It makes his decision to go to Renault seem even more insane let's face it. There is a very real chance that the Red Bull Honda will be reliable next year and it seems like it's already got a bit more grunt than the Renault donkey. Red Bull do a lot right, but take the media rose tinted lenses off and they do not finish enough races.
I'm still going to be on Verstappen to win in Melbourne.

If James Allison returns to enstone (tipped) the floor and suspension will be sorted within a season.
The Red Bull is not reliable with a Renault let alone a Honda, but at least the Honda will be built around the car.
If Renault and Seb Bull can get to the top table I’ll be a happy chappie.
The Red Bull isn't reliable because they're running the engine spec that even Renault won't run in their own cars yet because they can't make it work... Given the shambles that's gone on with their hybrid system upgrade that still isn't fully up to speed after, what? 2 years, I'd be genuinely amazed if they suddenly get a new engine and hybrid unit in the car next year fully reliable and have a chassis that even closes the gap in any meaningful to the big 3 in any meaningful way.
I hope to god they manage it or Ricciardo will just be a wasted talent in a crap car. Red Bull have half the battle won with arguably the best chassis on the grid, but people are too happy to write Honda off on the last couple of years and ignore the progress they've made this season.

David Coulthard observation or stalking Vettel.
Sebastian Vettel has been spending more time with his former Red Bull colleagues than his current team Ferrari, according to David Coulthard.
The F1 pundit believes there could be a big problem with the German, who has not won a won title since leaving the Austrian side four years ago.
“He says he's tired - when you're tired you go for your comfort blanket. I've seen him around Red Bull more often in the last few races than at any other time that he's been at Ferrari,” Coulthard told Channel 4.
"So he's not knuckling down with his comfort blanket at Ferrari. To me it looks like he's not only tired of the recovery drives, he's just not as happy within the team as he was at Red Bull."

So how many are the Renault and how many are the fault of the installation?Sainz 0 failures Hulk 1 failure.
Renault replace there’s before it breaks, Red Bull after.
Red bull are also ‘recycling’ parts of the PU, perhaps they would be better buying new parts.

Renault have also told RBR (and Mclaren) that not enough thought to cooling is being considered and the packaging is not helpful.
Remember in Winter Testing 2014 when Mercedes, Williams and Force India all ran identical installations, with the bodywork removed you could only tell which car was which by mechanics shirts and garage furniture. Mclaren (thinking they knew more about an engine that they were only aware of in August 2013 than the manufacturer who had actually been designing and building the thing since 2010) ran a completely different cooling concept and had quite a few breakdowns.
Contrast this to the Renault stable in 2014, four wildly different ideas with people smirking at Caterham with their enormous sidepods, as they chalked up the laps while RBR were cutting holes in their bodywork... Lotus caught fire too.
Forward to 2018 and its no surprise the works Renault team have better reliability than their customers who each have ignored their suppliers advice repeatedly for five seasons.
This is sort of my point. It seems that RBR run the packaging on the very edge, as it would seem McLaren did with the honda. I would say looking at the list of 22 races there are 2 engine and one ERS so that's Renault.. Electrics, clutch, hydraulics and exhaust are RBR. The others are not clear.
