this race is such a boring waste of time the finale of the season should be Sao Paulo or somewhere equality capable of producing a 'race' rather than a procession.

To save anyone watching here is my prediction of the 'race' (event would be a closer description) - described by a heart rate monitor taken from spectators at last years event.

The interesting bit was the first 30 seconds then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Out of the top 3 teams, all the drivers have won a race this season apart from Bottas and his teammate and team have won both titles!
Although Bottas did give a race win to Hamilton.

What happened on the edit, did you get distracted/excited?!?

Your post above is almost exactly why I’m pretty much done with this place, if your not interested why post!

You only have to read six words of it before realising you can scroll on. Not worth dwelling on.

You can’t say he was going to win as Hamilton would have probably got past him on pace anyway.

Thanks for the prediction but I think I’ll watch it and make up my own mind.
Lots people have declared every race this season to be boring and yet it’s been the most exciting season in recent memory, so let’s wait and see. Only in my humble opinion, of course. You may be right thumbup

As an aside, thank goodness my season finale isn’t going to be ruined by the laughable Sky pantomime. The Channel 4 crew make those clowns look like a laughing stock. And I don’t mean funny.

Thanks to the OP once again, mate is attending this one live so looking forward to hearing how it is. Admittedly not the greatest track but there should be a nice "end of term" feel to the proceedings and of course, the final race of one of the all time greats.

Any news on a HAM engine penalty yet?

Wonder what McLaren will have NOR doing in his apprentice roll this week?

Why did they make him move over then?

Because they are a team - both cars would waste time, fuel and tyres duelling, resources better employeed against the opposition.

For me, the most significant point about this race is that it will probably be the last live race that I see on TV save for Silverstone’s Swan-song next year.

It is all so very sad.

Borin or not I am looking forward to it because its along time until the next one.
I will watch as much as I can of Practise sessions, Qualifying and the Race but not the usual nonsense interviews. I would love to see Danny Ric win ahead of his team mate as a farewell statement

Might as well stick all new in the back of the 44 car to give Lewis some fun during the race

An almost always boring race made worse by the fact that there is no stakes here this time (again) but at least I can tune in on C4 as I'm not sure I could handle Crofty's boundless enthusiasm for a race that means nothing. I'll be tuning in to watch Nando's last outing. Please McLaren do something with his car (I want to see him race someone on his last race!!) Although going on this season he'll be wiped out by a Williams at T1 or something frown

That said, I'll be shocked if we don't see ALO back in an F1 car at some point.

Because wasting time, fuel, tyres, and risking a crash, probably wasn’t the best team strategy to be using in a bid to secure the WCC and WDC wink

Not the last race of a legend but (probably) the last F1 race ...

I've never always warmed to Fernando but will definitely miss him. Hope he goes out with as good a result as possible given the car he's got.

So last then? Or second last if Vandorne finishes....
